Princess Anne incident

Look. I was accused of propagating the Harry/ Meghan bashing ( which, incidentally I have never taken part in) by bringing the subject up. And you are doing the same by constantly dragging this up.

Princess Anne is clearly not very well or she would have been discharged earlier than this. I can imagine her insisting on it.

A colleague was tending to her horse, a huge but gentle animal, and the next thing she knew was waking up in hospital with her cheekbone broken and concussion. He had swung his massive head around to be sociable - she was found some time later by a stable hand, with her large equine friend standing over her anxiously.

That sounds more likely. I hope Princess Anne wasn’t too badly hurt, though keeping her in hospital makes it sound quite serious.

I think that the doctors are just taking the utmost care of one of our National Treasures..

A broken cheekbone sounds nasty...

She might appear and be perfectly fit and healthy but she is 73. Healing takes longer the older we get.

I wish her a good recovery.

I was reading in one of the French papers today that maybe there is a curse on the Total Family, a bit like the Grimaldies.

Malédiction was the word used.

It's just been announced that Princess Anne has left hospital.

Yes! I’m glad she’s feeling better.
It sounds like it was more than just concussion for her to need to stay in so long.
This is the pic that accompanied the news, though I doubt it’s from this morning.
She looks good in red.

I have just read that she is “off” Royal Duties for the foreseeable future. That will be a blow to the King and the rest of the “working royals”
Just as well it is the summer when things calm down a bit.
Worrying though.

I really don't see that is necessary for the Royal Family to be all over the place anyway. For their own health and sanity.
It will, however, be saving the country money in terms of protection officers and security.

So only 5 working royals for a while, hope she makes a full recovery, quite possibly she has a very bruised face.

“Working royal” is a misnomer when work consists of attending banquets, shaking hands and getting photo taken. A phone call counts an “engagement”. I wouldn’t worry that there are 5 of them. Most heads of state are 1 person.

Try doing ad much as PA does and see how arduous it is. Don’t forget how much she does behind the scenes as well as in public. How would you like that at her age?

The HOS would undoubtedly have a horde of people working for them, which we would be expected to pay for.

I’m pleased she will get time off to recuperate. Injuries in our mid 70’s take longer to recover from than those in our 50’s

They won’t be any old wax dolls though but limited edition effigies made from recycled American Riviera Orchard scented candles of which there are only four to be sent out to worthy recipients like Omid Scobie and besties we’ve never heard of.
