Yes. At first I was as suspicious as I always am to cold callers but I was able to Google them and check the phone number while they were on the phone and satisfied myself that they actually were a reputable polling company, regulated by the Market Research Authority and so I stopped being cagey and answered most of their questions (I didn't answer anything I thought was too intrusive/ none of their business - and they accepted that).

No Reform candidate in this constituency. He pulled out after the revelation that he urged people to vote for the BNP. His name is still on the ballot papers apparently.

The predominant factor in this election seems to be tactical voting. Nothing matters but 'Get the Tories Out' and posters are appearing proclaiming this. But insufficient thought is being given to their replacement, under the delusion that nothing could be worse.
People on the doorstep are saying that for the first time in their life they have no idea how they will vote and are genuinely concerned for the future; fed up with Tories, mistrust Starmer and fear Labour , dislike the (local) Lib Dem candidate's record as a councillor and consider Ed Davey's campaign ridiculous.
I don't blame people for their dissatisfaction with the Conservatives, but sadly many decent MPs will be sacrificed and replaced by a mish-mash of totally inexperienced novices, rather like Blair's babes. I received a flier yesterday from a local Labour candidate full of bland promises, who had no idea she was canvassing in the wrong ward against the wrong candidate.

Disgraceful as if they haven't got enough money. I'm in Ester McVey's constituency Tatton I have voted for her in the past but never again will I vote Tory, I'm voting Reform whether that will allow Labour to get in (probably) but I'm not voting for lies and broken promises anymore.

I am regularly polled by YouGov.

I live in the sort of constituency that traditionally would vote for a pig if it wore a blue rosette, but at the last election an Independent candidate reduced the Tory’s huge majority to a much smaller one and with boundary changes there’s a real chance of the LibDems getting in.

Our previous Tory MP once defended his many additional paid jobs by saying that being an MP isn’t a job at all, it’s merely a role! The current one has always voted along with the government, but with an election in view he now reframes himself as someone who is against all the things he voted for.

Reform are hugely suspect. Farage speaking to Nick Robinson last week confirmed his admiration for Putin and believed the West was responsible for the war in Ukraine. As for Trump well he was a good mate. They are as right wing as you can get. Farage is an opportunist. Richard Tice just looks like a spare part as he parades about. When he was asked recently about certain members and their racist remarks he replied he wasn’t bothered as this election was “presidential” and only leaders mattered.

Esther McVey's husband is Sir Philip Davies, who was a sitting MP.

By betting a huge sum on himself losing, he is like a boxer falling down at the first punch - a complete travesty, shockingly dis-honourable.

If he is found guilty of this he should not only be kicked out of the Conservative Party, he should be prosecuted and should certainly be stripped of his knighthood.

As Labour left the country in pretty good order and the tories have actually been wrecking it for the past 14 years, perhaps the electorate might reflect on this experience a bit more carefully next time they're asked to choose
