We knew those earmarked for Rwanda would be permitted to apply for asylum - those who had been detained in readiness for flying to Rwanda being released. That’s not quite what you were originally saying Nicenanny, and how do you know they are all undocumented?

So has the Home Office taken on a lot of new recruits and trained them thoroughly in assessing the asylum claims in order to deal with the backlog?
If not, how can this be expedited?

What has happened is that the last government had literally stopped processing people altogether once the Rwanda bill was passed,

and they have now started up again with currently available staff with a view to recruiting more asap.

Where are they all going to go once rubber stamped because that is what will happen. MOST have no IDs and will be out on the streets to free up the hotels etc. No one will be sent back. Really it's an amnesty all will be allowed to stay.

They can't deport them if they have no documentation can they, these so called asylum seekers/economic migrants are not stupid are they, they have had the means to pay thousands of pounds to smuggling gangs to get here. Labour will deport no one.

I would like to see the source and judge its likely authenticity for myself. It’s no good saying. ‘I saw such and such on utube’, which contains all manner of misinformation and conspiracy theories. Post a link to what you saw. It’s already clear that whatever you saw you have put your own interpretation on.

The Rwanda plan cost millions and now all that money has been wasted because Labour have chosen to scrap the only thing introduced that actually did deter migrants. There were reports of new camps set up in France waiting for Starmer to become PM because they knew that would mean scrapping the deterrent and welcoming them with open arms.
