Thank you for starting this thread. I’ve only seen the video and I really feel for police. They do a thankless job and whilst the officer could have shown more restraint, the reaction has been utterly disproportionate.
My daughter walks the streets in anger because young men from particular communities treat women like scum. The police are attempting to address this but will no doubt be accused of racism.
Where is the evidence that this particular young man had treated any woman like scum? If there isn't any, the police officer was taking out his feelings towards other young Pakistani men - that is racism.
As others have written, I would rather wait to find out what really happened. On the face of it, there was no need to kick and stamp on a man who was already on the ground and had been tasered.
