Rachel Reeves has been waiting for years to be "tougher than the Tories on benefits". She likes to look tough, although I don't think looking tough on pensioners and small children in large families is admirable.
No but they’re an easy target.
I just find it incredible.
Does she think she's targeting wealthy pensioners, those Baby Boomers that younger generations like her supposedly dislike and resent?
Does she think this will make her popular with younger generations?
I think she's missed the mark with this.
As for refusing to lift the two child benefit cap for families with small children!
