Looks dreadful. I do feel every day is getting worse and this is just the start of it.

Thank you Maizie D. I read about Mr R on your link.
My, my, he has been a busy boy hasn't he?
Such a credit to his nationality.

Yes CLG and, of course, he’s doing it all for ENGERLAND!!!

The inquests for the three girls in Southport was opened today.

BBC I player reports there are 30 "Events" planned for tonight for thugs who are still using the girls to further their propaganda.

Something very sick going on here. More rioters in court today.

A friend of my daughters was told to ‘go back to where you came from’ yesterday. Last time it happened to him was during the referendum. I can’t take my dog to the vets for a much needed appointment because there is a planned protest nearby and my daughter is worried about taking her children to their piano lessons.

She should have said ‘what? Croyden?’ Or similar.Ignorant people are everywhere sadly.

It was a he. And he wasn’t going to engage with the white van man who shouted it at him. These people are being empowered.

What did Farage say after the election. ‘Labour, we’re coming to get you’. Maybe it was a rallying call for those who voted for them purely for their anti immigrant stance?

I took Farage to mean they were coming to get Labour electorally, because he’d believed his own hype about Reform beating the Tories into 2nd place.

People don’t suddenly start rioting as individuals, this feels very organised, and we know who has been stirring people up about immigration. But where do they get the idea that immigrants are responsible for everything that’s wrong?

Our GP surgery went from good to terrible during Covid, but I have to say it never occurred to me to blame immigration! It seemed as if they became totally disorganised when the senior partner left, and are only just starting to recover after the appointment of a ‘practice director’ who is able to make changes to the administration of the practice.

I think the last riots died down when the weather turned, hopefully these will too. Though I think putting those responsible in prison should help, as well.

Sentences and cool weather, yup, it all helps.
I too think that NF saying after the GE ‘ Labour, we’re coming to get you’ of course meant electorally as Reform got so many votes.

MayBee70 Wed 07-Aug-24 13:49:28

Yes. It is very organised. I’d like to know who’s organising it. But there will be a paper trail leading to these people.

More like a digital trail

Those taking part now will be sure to be wearing masks after seeing so many jailed who didn’t cover up.It will make the Police’s job so much the harder unfortunately. Many were already mask or scarf wearing, usually the worst offenders.

My grandsons music lesson has been cancelled as they’ve had to close the school down. Not only that but he’s lost an evenings work because he works there part time. A relief, however, as his mum was going to have to wait in the car outside as she wasn’t prepared to leave him in an area close to a potential riot. Just got to hope the place doesn’t get damaged as most of the students are Asian.

One of our nurseries messaged this morning with special arrangements as they’d been informed to expect trouble . They’re closing early and special security in place to protect infants x
We have the EDL matching in my town and the riot vans are ready.
I’m lucky they aren’t targeting my area -they’re marching in the area where many Muslim and asylum seekers live
I’m very sad and in truth a bit scared - maybe I should feel livid with anger that thugs aim to frighten us and will attack our police
Yes I’m livid with anger and fear fir the police and people living in the march area

Our old house is now a nursery with a majority of Asian, including many Muslim, children and babies. They are now under high security and some parents are keeping children home.

One black man had his car torched as he finished his job as a carer- and crowd funding raised enough money to buy him a new car within hours- which is wonderful to see.

MayBee and Iam I hope you and yours stay safe. It’s hard to believe this is happening in our communities, in the UK.

As I was watching the news I thought ‘what is happening to our country’? Areas, specific buildings and even individuals being targeted on ‘a list’. The reporter talking about ‘the list’ as if it was something normal. It sent shivers down my spine!

Many countries around the world advising their citizens either not to travel to the UK or to exercise extreme caution.

All of this caused by a minority of violent, racist thugs, whipped up by malign agitators even some politicians.

This is just beyond sad and beyond belief!

Cadeby Wed 07-Aug-24 18:08:04

If you think a shower of rain is going to stop this, you are deluded.

Plenty emboldened people on the racist train.

Cadeby Wed 07-Aug-24 18:10:26

Imagine teachers ( particularly ) in multi racial areas trying to forge ahead in September.

That’s just what I was thinking today.Glad that my daughter is no longer teaching.

Fleurpepper Wed 07-Aug-24 18:21:09

I have taught in mutiracial secondary and 6th Form schools all my career. I just cannot imagine what it would be like to return in a couple of weeks.

It is so scary, soul and heart breaking.
