I always look at the Apple News on my iPad. I don’t pay a subscription so only see headlines. However, this morning I was offered comments which you could read in full. I was sickened by the bias and the way they have changed Starmer’s handling of the riots from positive and competent to the absolute opposite. I used to think the Mail was a rag but how have things changed ? I used to look for a reasonable and unbiased approach but now the opposite seems to be the case. We only buy the Times on Saturdays and read online and watch the BBC, ITV, channel 4 and Sky News in an attempt to get a rounded view of the daily happenings.
They tend to listen to long form podc
Sorry! They tend to listen to long form podcasts fancy that, the podcasts are generally biased to one side or the other but I think worrying about the telegraph is pointless. One clip from Joe Rogan for example is viewed by 19 million.

Oh, sorry, AGGAA4. Ignore my last....
I realise my original post wasn't clear and should have read 'I don't give two hoots what the Telegraph says'.

This is it really, the papers and tv formats are on the way out.
I should think we can expect more polarisation with regards to output in the future.
If only to attract the dwindling followers.
In my opinion The Telegraph Newspaper is an oxymoron.

And I dont even know who Joe Rogan is!
I dont think any of my kids look at any newspapers.
They dont listen to BBC news.
None of them have subscription TV.
1 is on Facebook.
I need to find out what they actually do listen to or watch.

I bet that would be interesting fancythat.
Joe Rogan has so many differing people and differing subject matters, that very often they intersect, because he isn't in a bubble or controlled by a wealthy advertising executive, for example.
Which means the viewer is exposed to avenues of information that would never make it to the main stream tv channels.
For me I find it far more interesting and informative than sticking to msm.
The breadth of subjects covered alone informs the narrative on msm, but from a different angle.
He isn't the only one out there, but he is probably the most watched.
I know who Joe Rogan is. He's a libertarian who promotes lies about HIV/Aids, and Covid vaccines and treatments. He opposes gun control, said that RF Kennedy is a nice guy, but rowed back on that when Trump whined at him, and supports De Santis.
His podcast audience is over 80% male, and he is the epitome of toxic masculinity. Check out any feminist board from FB to Reddit to see why. Polls from the last year suggest that about 60% of American women would not even go on a date with a man who listens to Rogan. He's the reason people like Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Crosby, Stills & Nash removed their music from Spotify, when he was given space there.

Very little, I believe.
I was shocked to silence when chatting to the teenage apprentice at the hairdressers.
a..Didn't know where Bristol was.
b.. Though Exeter was near London (Essex?)
c. No idea of the name of the P.M.
I think most media is swayed one way or another, ie Left or Right.
I use Apple News, the DT headlines are appallingly misleading and often focus on what they think Labour are going to do, ie Tax Pensioners, get rid of the triple lock, get rid of bus passes, ruin education, etc etc.
I too now go through various news sources and hope I can get a fairly accurate and balanced view.
The Telegraph is fighting back about the possibility that they will have to pay their taxes in full in the future. That's why they hate Starmer.
I think he's great & dealt with the riots really well & Tony Blair should have closed more tax loopholes than he did so I welcome business etc paying proper taxes
He seems to be managing without Neil Youngs support
The Telegraph supports the Tories, especially the right wing. What can one expect from it but running down Starker?⁸
Starker. Fat fingers!
I think it shows that however much Starmer tries to appeal to Conservatives by aping their policies, he will never win over the right wing press. he may as well have stuck to decent Labour values.
Politics is a rough game.
I look at Starmer and think thank heavens we now have a serious and capable prime minister. I like what others term “boring”. Had enough of personality politics. Here is someone who has worked for others for free and deserved his knighthood. What a contrast from the corrupt element which was evident in the Tory Party. Jenrick I am thinking of as just one who engineered lucrative contracts. No doubt the Telegraph will be polishing his image.
I read neither the Mail nor The Telegraph. And it is a dream come true to not have to see on the TV nor listen on Radio 4 Today to the lying incompetent bunch of Tory MPs, cabinet minsters and PM.
I see the newspaper headlines on the BBC newsfeed and skip past the hypocritical scaremongering stuff as quickly as I can.
Spot on HelterSkelter.
