Well I expect you’d like posters to respond that police and the CJS are very cross with Mr Starmer because like everything else that goes wrong, it’s all his fault

Well, now you've mentioned 😆 😂

Iam64 no it’s Sue Gray’s idea? It would be good if government had someone who could handle little details.

It seems to have been the way crimes were logged vegansrock - though the changes in probation "pay by results" scheme for example was ludicrous.

Unfortunately I don't think we can blame that in this case!
It's apparently a change in the way crimes are recorded and is probably due to some poor drafting of recent legislation.

Not a wise move to privatise prisons and the probation service. Wonder when that happened?

Posted too soon.
It was Nick Hardwick on the radio.

It looks like it was a policy error. Logged under the wrong legislation so not flagged up.
Just this minute heard on the radio.

The Ministry of Justice confirmed that five prisoners have not yet been returned to jail

This was as of last night.
Maybe they are already back by now?

Unhappy, I think it’s safe to assume grin.

I don’t know the story, but at face value I’d say it’s easy to work out what the reaction of the police and the judiciary is likely to be.

You wouldn’t read about it ! Dumb and dumber…

Just that really, these 37 prisoners released with the others, shouldn't have been. The powers that be are looking for them, would have been easier if they had known where these people were going. Reassuring for the public. You have to wonder how the police and Justice system feel about it.
