I’ve seen Starmer’s trips total three weeks, and five weeks, and now 26 days. Who knows the exact time?

Of course the PM needs to travel abroad sometimes, but this very new PM is noticeably away more than others have been. He needs to get on with the job at home.

He’s busy trying to repair the country 🙄

The PM has taken 14 international trips to 10 different countries since July.

What is wrong with a PM travelling for trade and international security and climate negotiations? Some of those visits were for very short periods. They total 26 working days.

I didn’t say it was wrong (or right for that matter) just giving details of the PM’s foreign trips.

So what was the point of your post? Do you want a Primeminister who is completely insular like Trump? Someone who has no interest in the country’s trading relationships etc with other nations? It’s just a silly thing to say!

My post was pointing out the amount of trips the PM has made since his election, as others had mentioned his days out of the U.K.

It's just a different world - land is a playground for him, and the concerns of the need to raise money for real social needs like the NHS/social care/Education a thousand miles away.

Probably if it was a critical care operation. Maybe he'll take time to consider waiting lists and everyday struggles to get medical care and also consider how it gets funded as he campaigns not to pay IT himself.

He could have said "yes those who can afford to pay should' but he hasn't, he wants IT removed altogether on land

You only have to read Reeves' employment history ( the true one) to realise that she just hasn't got the intelligence or experience to do the job, and has probably misled Starmer, which means he would look a fool if he now sacked her!

Comments like that make you look uninformed rowyn. She has a degree from Oxford and a Masters from LSE. Strangely enough, Jeremy Hunt did the same degree course. Whatever else she is, she is intelligent.

Maybe they should drive in their Range Rovers or their daughters’ horse boxes. Jeremy Clarkson and the like openly admitted to buying farmland in order to avoid IHT, so I’m putting my violins away for farmers. They should pay tax like everyone else. They can avoid IHT with forward planning like other wealthy landowners.

Totally agree. They're already a special case being given a £3m allowance, paying at 20% and 10 years to pay it.
The same arguments can be made for many businesses but the farmers want to be treated differently. Jeremy Clarkson and his ilk make me sick.
As for blockading the streets, the police should treat them the same as the Just Stop Oil protestors. The double standards on here is staggering. I suspect it's mostly an opportunity to criticise the Labour government.

Shall we actually talk about the farmers, and IT, surely it's worth a thread.

Saw it but as I said above its pretty disingenuous as he can well afford to pay his bit on IT into the NHS pot which he's needed as much as any of us and didnt answer those questions.

Yes by all means say change the rules for family farms but the not so hidden agenda is keep wealth for the already wealthy by calling for its abolition for all landowners..

I only heard half of the explanation on TV this morning so please forgive me if I'm wrong but I'm sure there was an ex MP saying that the first £3m would be exempt of tax.
I used to live in a farm town and we often saw tractors driven on the road. My issue is that the drivers would not wear seat belts. Too much farm machinery is left to rot rather than get repaired or sold. Not sure why but having lived in a farming community for over 20 years, I saw so much wastage

Wyllow3 Jeremy pointed out that the richest farmers will put their farms in trust which means no IT liability.

The farming IT burden will fall on small to medium farms, the just about managing land /asset rich but cash poor.

All Inheritance Tax should be abolished!.
