I agree with hollysteers, I think it’s just the first c that looks lower case.

Oh, maybe it's me then, but I was always taught that the capital letter should be taller than the other lower case letters, or at least as tall as. The c is very short against the h.

I think it's the handwriting style, if you look at the c which starts "community" or the c in the middle of recharge, it is the same size as the lowercase letters whereas those starting Christmas are much bigger. It certainly makes a change to see anything hand written so well done to your MP for trying to make it seem a more personal message.

Here's the letter sizes used at KS1 and KS2 where the capital letter is clearly taller than any of the lower case letters. Even b, d, k, h, l aren't as tall.
It's not a big deal, however, although it did grate with me on the paper.

People often stylise their writing, though, once past primary school age. Your MP also forms long, wide tails to the relevant letters when a much smaller one would suffice.

I still write a cursive ‘z’ which lots of youngsters are probably baffled by! It’s just part of my style.

You are lucky to have an MP who actually communicates with you. To deliberate about whether a C is written as a capital or lower case is surely subordinate to the kind personal nature of the letter.

Did you underline all three in red? As I can only see two and neither looked like a lower case c to me.

I find that it’s very common now for people to put the ‘me’ first.
I hear it all the time on both the radio and TV from those who should know better. Also, I think the statement should be ‘My team and I’.

Ah yes, I hadn’t read that whole sentence. I was taught it was correct if the ‘I ‘ or ‘me’ could stand alone, so ‘from me’ is correct as ‘from I’ isn’t correct.

Give it a break. The man has taken the trouble to write a personal Christmas message and all you can do is rip his grammar and spelling apart.

I said in my intro, it was very kind of him to send cards all round. The message was also a good reminder of what his main challenges are.
I haven't ripped his spelling apart, it looks faultless.
