Ah, the challenge of recognizing bias, especially when it aligns with our own perspectives.

Many people may perceive certain outlets as more balanced when the reporting resonates with their beliefs. This phenomenon can lead to confirmation bias, where individuals seek out information that confirms their preconceptions. Just as, it seems, many of the posters on this thread are doing. There seems to be very little critical thinking going on.

Presumably you include yourself when it comes to bias then?

I pick and choose news and views programmes but think on the whole there are many good interviews on GB News.

I don't watch GB News, cannot abide Farage, but each to their own, even if it is an echo chamber of your own views.

I certainly didn't suggest anyone was "stalking" RosiesMaw2. It was just the move to commenting on how a post was made rather than what it brought to the discussion seem a bit off key.

Do you think it is worth involving the moderators? Or perhaps Oreo might like to drop me a line personally. I don't want anyone to feel upset.

On a forum you don’t ask other members whether to involve moderators, you simply report a post privately.Am being polite in case you don’t know this.

Kemi Badenoch is plain speaking but does that translate to being good as a Leader? I don’t vote Conservative but will always give someone a chance.
She has very little political experience I think.

Farage is supposed to be an MP! Dreadful man.

Have to admit to never having watched GBNews until now. Since reading this thread I've watched several episodes and read a lot of the backstory of the channel. Can't say it's for me. Too overtly biased in a way that makes me quite uncomfortable. I certainly won't be abusive towards those who like it though.

Was she questioned about her comments regarding lunch breaks being for wimps and that she didn’t have lunch breaks or ate ( shock horror) sandwiches but did occasionally send away for a steak? Now surely it’s impossible to carry on working whilst eating a steak but easy to work whilst eating a sandwich?

The trouble is, some of us have collectively been unfairly reported or brought to the attention of GNHQ on several occasions in the past, for minor misdemeanours, resulting in removals, that we now get a little twitchy when the words "involving moderators" are mentioned.
Also, the subject of the thread gets lost, as has happened here.

I think GB news keeps up to date well with current affairs, but some of the presenters and guests let their opinions run away with them in a daft way. But then so do I, don't we all sometimes?
I watch France24 for interesting analysis.

I didn't see the interview but did watch Kemi Badenoch giving evidence at the Post Office Enquiry and have watched her at PMQs. Her approach during her time in public office, particularly in contexts like the Post Office Inquiry and Prime Minister's Questions, has certainly created a range of opinions.

Personally, I observed an assertive, bordering on aggressive confidence and communication style, possibly because of her background ( father worked a GP and her mother was a physiology professor) and early successes.

Her performance and the substance of her evidence in the Post Office Inquiry will be closely scrutinized. The findings and conclusions drawn from the inquiry will likely further inform public perceptions of Badenoch and could influence both her political career and the broader accountability issues both relating to her and the government's handling of such cases.

I'm not sure Camilla Tominey would be as unbiased as a the enquiry must be.
