Wow!
All eyes will be on America.

Chilling in the extreme.

Panama must be cheesed off.

Territorial expansion - where ?

The LGBT community must be fed up.

Go woke go broke.
America will be great again.

Trump is not looking too in line with Starmer’s policies- in fact, quite the opposite. I don’t hold out much hope of tariff free trade so what are the alternatives for the Uk? Boris Johnson, Suella Braverman and Farage reputedly in the audience.
Am just wondering how humanity benefits from the Stars and Stripes being placed on Mars? And Greenland?

NotSpaghetti Mon 20-Jan-25 18:09:44

Roll on tomorrow when the war in Ukraine will be over.

Septimia Mon 20-Jan-25 18:14:26

He has an inflated idea of other countries' opinions of the USA.

Cossy Mon 20-Jan-25 18:18:41

God help America and the rest of the world!

That's one of the most irrelevant observations yet!
Beats opinions of Melania's hat for silly gringrin

Indeed, quite unbelievable. Amazing that Trump supporters were the very people who voted for Brexit- for 'Sovereignty' and are now quite willing and happy to bow and take the knee to Trump's rule and massive tarifs that will complete the ruining of our economy.

As for the hat- Melania chose well, to make sure her husband could not kiss her.

That’s a silly sweeping statement, saying that British people who voted for Brexit are all Trump supporters! In fact it beats any comments about Melania Trumps hat.

I think he is going to be rather busy…

Or his minions are.
Am hoping that much of what he said is rhetoric only.😖

Sago Mon 20-Jan-25 18:46:27

Like the current Washington weather front it will be heading to Blighty.

Louella12 Mon 20-Jan-25 18:51:56

Oh, I'd not heard that Brits who viewed to leave the EU supported Trump.

How have we reached that conclusion?

Totally ridiculous accusation those who voted to leave the EU must be POTUS Trump supporters, I agree Oreo

When POTUS went to kiss FLOTUS she angled her head so that he could kiss her cheek twice, was anyone anticipating a full on smooch?

Casdon Mon 20-Jan-25 18:53:44

A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall was never more apt.

Calendargirl Mon 20-Jan-25 19:22:13

Think he took a leaf out of Meghan’s book, the one about ‘going to hit the ground running’.

Hope it turns out better for him than her.

AGAA4 Mon 20-Jan-25 19:36:24

Trump's ego was certainly riding high tonight.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Mon 20-Jan-25 20:07:59

I found his speech uplifting and inspiring.

Claremont Mon 20-Jan-25 20:12:43

Wait and see what he will unleash on the UK economy- and then rejoice.

Looking at all the people I know- this assumption seems pretta accurate.

Claremont Mon 20-Jan-25 20:16:49

Let's test it here. Who here voted for remain who is an enthusiastic, positive and optimistic supporter of Trump?
