as he agrees to deliver a massive number of bombs for the IDF- so they can clear the country.

Are they planning the Ben Gurrion Canal yet- was it was this is all about, as some suspected a long time ago.

Call me cynical andpessimistic. Where on earth are they supposed to go?

It is a perfectly valid comparison. The West could have decided to take Wales away from the natives and give it to the Jews in 1948. In all fairness, they should have taken part of Austria or Germany.

What do you mean 'do not do that again' - who are you to tell people what they can talk about or not.

Attempt to divert thread

Claremont Tue 04-Feb-25 21:45:04

Not at all.

YOU have been diverting this thread, which is about the genocide of Palestinian people.

Eloethan Tue 04-Feb-25 22:27:33

I have not been rude to you Anniebach, though I have experienced your rudeness in the past.

Please do not order me to be quiet just because you don't have an answer to any of the questions I ask of you. Or maybe you just can't be bothered to read up on it. I am not trying to "divert" the thread - I am expressing a difference of opinion and have cited certain historical facts and parallels to support that opinion, rather than just making the same comments over and over again.

I don't recall at all "prattling on" about Scotland. When was this, and what was the subject matter?

Kalm Tue 04-Feb-25 22:35:36

To watch 2 criminals one a genocidal maniac in the midst of a Palestinian holocaust in Gaza and the other an unhinged billionaire , both so called democratic leaders is truly sickening. and frightening. A press conference in the WH right out of Hitler's copy book that "encouraged" the expulsion of Gazans, funny that with the second in command doing NAZI salutes. Bullies of the worst kind. This is heartbreaking but may be Zionists need to look at this:

All the Palestinians want is peace but not to live under the dictatorship of the apartheid and racist Knesset.

Anniebach - this post has been going for over 48 hours and has 14 pages. You have posted on every single page.

I know you are passionate about this, but making other posters feel their posts are unwanted or "diverting the thread" makes me feel as if you just want the last word on this.

I just watched Trump and Netanyahu on tv with Trump saying no one would want to live in Gaza now and he will see built lovely housing in the sunshine in various surrounding countries, including Egypt, for the Palestinians. Netanyahu looked like the cat that got the cream. As Egypt depends heavily on US funding he might force the issue. The strangest conversation I have ever heard. Presumably Gaza would go to Israel and they would rebuild? Weird times.

What an odd statement!

Since when has Wales been the Holy Land, the spiritual and ancestral home of the Jewish people?
Or part of Austria or Germany?

Where is Jerusalem located exactly?

Oreo Tue 04-Feb-25 23:12:10

Allira 😁
Isn’t it somewhere near Cardiff?

Allira Tue 04-Feb-25 23:17:07

No, Twickenham I think.

It was strange, nanna8.
No logic to any of it.

Everything that is coming from the States just now seems surreal.

Anniebach Tue 04-Feb-25 23:38:25

Does Trump do logic

Wyllow3 Tue 04-Feb-25 23:50:42

The suggestions are ridiculous frankly.

Just watched Trump saying that the USA will be there going into Gaza themselves and rebuilding and "clearing out" if necessary.

imaround Wed 05-Feb-25 00:31:18

Yes, Trump just stated that he wants the US to occupy GAZA after the Palestinians are "relocated"

apnews.com/article/trump-netanyahu-washington-ceasefire-1c8deec4dd46177e08e07d669d595ed3

Remember what Jared Kushner said last March. That the land in GAZA would be very valuable.

www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/mar/19/jared-kushner-gaza-waterfront-property-israel-negev

Guess who has not ethically divested himself from his real estate business?

Wyllow3 Wed 05-Feb-25 00:40:26

No doubt a US military base?

Whitewavemark2 Wed 05-Feb-25 00:56:13

It is the stuff of absolute nightmares.

Wyllow3 Wed 05-Feb-25 01:06:49

Just read this, disgusting

"Trump suggested the US could "take over" Gaza and "do a real job" by removing unexploded bombs and economically redeveloping the Palestinian territory into

the Riviera of the Middle East

- outlining a truly bizarre vision of a US-owned Gaza, populated by "representatives from all over the world" - including Palestinians.

It's head-spinning stuff and it was notable that Trump declined to say on what international authority the US would be acting.

Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied West Bank will also be wondering tonight what the president has in store for them.
Trump says he has not made his mind up about a possible Israeli annexation of parts of the West Bank, but says he will have an announcement "in the next four weeks"

Wyllow3 Wed 05-Feb-25 01:13:10

""Are you talking about taking over a sovereign territory?" Trump is asked by a reporter.

Trump says that yes, he is envisioning a "long term" occupation, led by the US.

"Owning that piece of land, developing it, creating thousands of jobs. It really will be magnificent," he says.

"Everyone loves the idea," he adds. (??)

I noticed this first being mooted about a year ago, Trumps son-in-law has been heavily involved in it, annd has made frequent visits to Israel meeting Netanyahu etc and I have been following it ever since. Netanyahu has done the dirty work for him and reduced to rubble most of the buildings - it just needs heavy equipment to in to clear it.

The people are simply an inconvenience which undoubtedly will be dealt with in the coming months. If they don’t comply, then Netanyahu will carry on the dirty work of bombing, killing and maiming until Trump achieves submission - there is of course the minor matter of who will take them in but everyone can be bought.

Kushner is going to make a killing appropriating land and selling it to the Israelis.

Trump is out of control.

Who will stop him?

I’ve spent a couple of days binge watching a BBC box set and, having dipped into what’s happening news wise I think I need to start binge watching something else. I can’t honestly get my head around what is happening in Gaza or why the rest of the world seems to be doing nothing about it. As ever the west just seem to think it’s their prerogative to carve up the Middle East in whichever way they see fit. And then don’t understand why it ends up going horribly wrong. A convicted felon is discussing the future of Gaza with an Israeli leader that( am I right in thinking) is banned from the UK and other countries. Has the world gone mad?

Whitewavemark2 Wed 05-Feb-25 01:46:49

We carved up Africa - look how well that went for the people🙄

Granmarderby10 Wed 05-Feb-25 03:05:38

Ever watched one of those animal park documentaries on tv where some apex predator zoo animal is on the rampage, and they have to fetch the vets in to dart the beast?…just a thought.😉

David49 Wed 05-Feb-25 06:24:01

This is only going to work if the population of Gaza cooperate.

However millions leave their homeland every year to find a better life, there is no future in Gaza as it is it is never going to be sustainable with a population of 2 million.

Give Gazans the opportunity to migrate to the US, or any other western country most would take it. The alternative with Hamas in control is continual conflict.
