I abbreviated your name, and then noticed the result, and thought it was funny.
Sorry, but I don't get it?
What am I missing?
Good Morning Wednesday 6th May 2026
And yet only 11 - yes, ELEVEN percent, believe it was a success. And only 24% of Reform. That is just staggering, but not surprising.
Why on earth should we 'get over it'?
I abbreviated your name, and then noticed the result, and thought it was funny.

Oh that is funny RahM- as I was only replying to a post by YOU, 'picking on ME (as per usual). I abbreviated your name, and then noticed the result, and thought it was funny.
But honestly, if you bite, I will reply. Fair enough.
No-one forces anyone to reply to any posts mentionning the disastrous effects of this nonsensical Brexit. Ta.
Please explain the disastrous effects.

Just scroll by, no-one, but no-one is asking you to take part. Simple, very.
Just scroll on by anyone who thinks you are going on about it on GN to no evident purpose.

Why do you always pick on me Claremont when I am not the only person who has suggested there is little to be gained by “going on and on” ?
Others disagree with you but you always home in on me.
I might even think there is something personal in all this.
Because you're the crème de la crème, RosieandherMaw
You're simply the best
Better than all the rest
Better than anyone
Anyone I've ever met
I hang on every word you say for some reason!

Omg Claremont,its history,move on,
I'm still upset about the destruction of the monasteries but acknowledge that is history too.
Precious libraries were destroyed as well.
Banging on about it for years is obsessive and boring.I know somebody who’s the same about cars, and I have to work with him😬😫
Omg Claremont,its history,move on,
You’re welcome to bang on about it MB70. It just doesn't achieve anything, that’s all.

Well, we are still waiting to find out what the brexit benefits are or where all of those amazing trade deals ended up...why should we let people forget all the lies they fell for?
That’s another never-endingly reiterated question on GN
Well never know the answer.
Another thing I’d like the answer to is,
Would all the folk who didn’t bother to go and vote, have joined me in voting remain, or did they stay at home, convinced that Leave would lose so they didn’t have to bother?
I find that equally irritating and we have no idea how many of those complaining are among the CBA group.Well, maybe the CBS’s need reminding of what they helped to inflict on our country. Anyway, Farage didn’t stop banging on about the EU so why should I? Especially when we’re seeing the sort of people politicians such as him are happy to ally themselves with.
And he's a real pain in the proverbial!

Claremont the U.K. is part of a united Europe with regards to Ukraine, as I have already mentioned Keir Starmer our PM is leading the coalition of the willing
The JCHQ (military joint HQ of Europe) is still here in the U.K.
I don't understand why people don't understand that the EU is not synonymous with Europe.
Europe is a continent made up of 50 countries , 7 dependencies, 8 unrecognized countries and which has an area of 10,530,751 km² and an approximate population of 747,747,395 people in 2021.
The European Union (EU) is an economic and political association made up of 28 countries , and which extends over much of what is the European continent.

You call it 'going on about it'- some of us call it fighting, in our own way
Asking politely - how does continually bringing the subject up on Gransnet on many different threads help change the decision?
We can't create a sliding doors scenario and harping on about past mistakes (if they were) does not change the present nor help constructively towards the future.Well put.
I’m also interested to hear/look forward to being told, what
continually bringing the subject up on Gransnet on many different threads has done to *help change the decision.*

I have asked some questions regarding countries which voted not to be members of the EU but have close links with it and whst life is like in those countries but may have missed the answers.
I don't want to scroll by, some information from a different perspective, a country which is not a member but has close links to the EU, might be very interesting but just hearing the same statements over and over has not widened my or anyone else's knowledge at all.
The question as put was too simplistic - yes or no. Many people might have voted to remain as part of a trading union - a Common Market in fact - but thought closer political union was going too far.

Of course I care Claremont (rude assumption on your part).
I’m also affected by a Brexit that I didn’t vote for. However, I don’t think simply going on about it helps.
You call it 'going on about it'- some of us call it fighting, in our own way, and we have listed ways to be active on this front previously, in order to influence the future, and not just rant about the past. It is clear with the conflicts around the world, especially in Ukraine, that we need to be part of a united Europe. This even more as the above is causing massive shortages which are about to get worse, and we have voluntarily excluded us for the markets which have agreed to share with each other, without tarifs and huge and very costly lists of checks and red tape. Agriculture, essential chemicals, and so much more, and of course essential medicines. As well as labour force, from agriculture to top science in all fields and medicines.
As for Rahm- don't worry, she will know (I only noticed when I abreviated it for the first time and thought it was funny).
So glad you find it all hilarious RahM (crème de la crème).
Not sure who Rahm is (Rahmen?) but it 's not Brexit which is hilarious, it's the fact that such threads go round in ever-decreasing circles, getting nowhere except up their own backsides.
