I can find updates on this from October 2023. Why has it now been so blown out of proportion?
Good Morning Wednesday 6th May 2026
āWe are killing like we havenāt killed since 1967ā
How hypocritical of Kier Starmer to have had a voice coach over for lessons during
Tier 4 lockdowns on Christmas Eve!
I am absolutely raging mad that I stuck fast to these lockdown rules, that I hardly saw my parents during these lockdowns, didnāt notice my dadās dementia because mum always came to the door, couldnāt attend my Aunts funeral, ended up with severe depression & heās got the gall to put this woman down as a key worker, I thought that was for emergency services, care workers, & shop staff?
What was so urgent that he needed a voice coach on Christmas Eve, he wasnāt even PM?
To think that they gave BJ so much flack, itās truly unbelievable š©

An āactress and communication skills specialistā isnāt within the definition of a key worker - unsurprisingly.
I wouldnāt call it ābeing blown out of proportionā, PoliticsNerd. Iād call it being brought to light at last.

He was a key worker
They made so much of Borris meeting people he was working with anyway and the pictures of Starmer having a drink at an event so called brushed under the carpet What is the difference labour don't get investigated To be honest if people were working together can't see the problem with them having a drink together it was obviously ok for labour but it's one rule for them

You certainly just seem to want to be angry but raving mad? Be kinder to yourself.
The Independent thinks itās true.

Sorry Petra
I fear weāre about to told that the Independent doesnāt meet the approval of Labour Supporters.

That article doesn't state that it's true. It quotes the book and in both the headline and text says that Starmer denies he broke lockdown rules.
This issue has been raised by Richard Holden, an ex Tory MP with previous form of alleging (unsuccessfully) that Starmer broke lockdown rules.
Well it didn't work did it.. He has the most monotonous voice..
Apparently the coach specialises in "personal impact skills". That is, the mark that you leave on people after an interaction. Not what you say, but how you carry yourself and present yourself to others and how you make them feel.
A bit like charisma, I guess?
Yet Keir Starmer insists that, as a person, he has nothing in common with Boris Johnson who built his career on that!
If I were Starmer I would ask for my money back. He has as much charisma as a dead fish.

She wasnāt though Iam64
Who says she wasn't and where can we find it.
Seriously, a Times and Sunday Times journalist write a book that attempts to resurrect the tactics used by the last government by suggesting that Starmer broke Covid rules five years ago.
This is in no way comparable to Boris Johnson, who was the one flouting the rules while supposedly leading the country. Are most people really that bothered by yet another fabricated attempt to challenge Starmer's clear belief in the legitimate authority of the law?"
The very first priority, on choosing a PM, should be whether they are able to inspire and captivate an audience. What happened? I listened to a speech he once made before he was PM. Much better, slightly more āaliveā. I think he is entitled to to a refund from his speech coach.
Fabricated, PoliticsNerd?
Is it April 1st?
The very first priority, on choosing a PM, should be whether they are able to inspire and captivate an audience
Should it really?
I can think of quite a number of murderous dictators who scored very highly on that front.

Not much of a barrister if incapable of clear diction.
Well, I was about to say that, as a barrister used to public speaking, surely he didn't need a voice coach when he became Leader of the Opposition?
I wonder if Lord Ali paid for it ā¦
nanna8, the last priority I look for in a PM is his/ her ability to inspire and captivate an audience. I am not an audience, I am a citizen of this country.
For inspiration and captivaton I visit the theatre.
Well the Labour Health Minister was interviewed this morning on the news.
She trotted out the line that the lady voice coach was a key workerā¦
Why did she travel from Brighton to London on Christmas Eve?
If the UKās children were able to be educated over zoom/teams why was KS unable to have voice coaching on similar?
I am disappointed with this Labour cohort they were so keen to jump on the Conservatives for every misdemeanour (and rightly so) they must have realised that they would also be put under the spotlightā¦
Whatever coaching heās had he needs a few more sessions in my opinion. That nasal twang gets me every time.
Why did she travel from Brighton to London on Christmas Eve?
To pick up her Christmas bonus in person maybe?
No way was she a key worker. Obviously they are not denying that this āmeetingā took place. She and Starmer should be investigated for this in the same way Labour ensured Boris was. Sauce for the goose ā¦
Where is the proof BJ had lots of parties?
Apart from the one where the staff & BJ were also working at 10 Downing Street.
Itās seems to me one rule for labour & one rule for any other party!
