I'll start. No discussion required- as said above, just YES or NO.

Claremont Yes or No!
I started a thread recently on same sex carers.
It could have been a yes or no scenario, however I want to hear everyone’s opinions and ideas, I wanted to see if my opinion (Yes) could be swayed.
This is what a discussion is all about.
All you want to achieve is highlighting the anti feeling towards Trump.
Your post is arrogant.

Perhaps you did not read my previous posts- there are several threads already with long discussion and debate about Trump and what he is up to. This one was meant to be much simpler, by contrast with the many others. But you do as you please, of course.

I thought your thread was really interesting sago, I think I made my stance fairly clear on the issue, but I wanted to hear what other people thought.

Galaxy Thank you.

You have given me the idea for a new thread!

Yes I have the maturity of a 12 year old, if someone says dont do that, I will absolutely do it.

The British tend to be a rebellious lot.

The only time we conform is when queuing.
We love queues! 😁

Why is so much of our country in the hands of America? A staggering two million people in the UK work for American corporations, and we spend more money that ends up in American coffers than most people realise.

There are some obvious American companies operating in the UK, but as Angus Heaton explains in the New Statesman, "every time you buy from Cadbury's, Weetabix, or pay for a ticket to watch Manchester United, Chelsea, or Arsenal, the money is ultimately going to American corporations." In fact, the average British family sends a significant amount of money to American corporations each year - "a whopping £2,000", according to Heaton.

Historically, the British public has only tended to stand up for themselves when they feel their backs are against the wall. We've come close to "too late" in the past, but how close are we willing to go this time? The question is: will the British public take action before it's too late?

Allira - you’re spot on about the underlying maverick we disguise by appearing conformist

If someone tells me I can't it makes me more determined to do whatever it is!

I probably passed my driving test first time because my instructor (a rather intimidating man) said I'd never pass, so of course I had to prove him wrong.
He then said "I knew you could do it" 😁

HousePlantQueen Sat 08-Feb-25 14:01:12

Good grief, NO, what kind of person do you take me for?

Racist?
Economically illiterate?
Sexual predator?
multiple bankrupt?
Mocker of those who are disabled, less fortunate?
Liar?

More than one word, but the Trump supporters on here cannot criticise; their man doesn't follow the rules either.

Maremia Sat 08-Feb-25 14:05:58

Yes, to white males only in power?

Maremia Sat 08-Feb-25 15:41:35

Yes, to the richest man on earth dismantling the organisation that feeds the poorest children on earth.

Read but not proscriptive ignored.
As you graciously say "You do as you please of course"
We will.

Claremont Sat 08-Feb-25 17:42:12

You are welcome.

Claremont Sat 08-Feb-25 17:52:00

Ah but you forgot to give your answer, do you?

Maremia Mon 10-Feb-25 15:28:08

Yes, because saying no to Trump is saying no to God! You converted yet?

RosieandherMaw Mon 10-Feb-25 15:33:19

Allira Mon 10-Feb-25 22:14:00

I've forgotten the question now!

RosieandherMaw Mon 10-Feb-25 23:21:58

Why @ Claremont ?
hmmhmm
Because I have no wish to be part of your survey (it IS discretionary is it not?)
Because I don't like your hectoring tone?
Because I choose not to.
