Not another one? Feel for the assistants who had to work with him and others …if these allegations are true

I’m not condoning his behaviour at all……but in the 60s and 70s this type of thing used to go on all the time and no one batted an eyelid…we just used to laugh it off and avoid that person if we could.

Last night it was the top topic on itv news, wow have times have changed.

I'm another one who has never liked him since reading about the Paul Young incident.

I think it's only now, happily, that men are being called out for poor behaviour.
I believe it has always gone on in all walks of life especially where a man is in a position of power. In earlier days any complaints would have fallen on deaf ears.

With a lot of these historic accusations, the person you would have had to complain to was, more than likely, a man.

Way back when, as others have said, women just accepted that this was the way "blokes" were and other blokes thought they were all in it together ha ha ha.

It's probably more common now to find a woman in the chain of command you can speak to, men are more aware of what is and isn't appropriate behaviour (well, most men, one hopes) and as more women speak out, it encourages other to do so.

If this is true, what a silly man. He has a lovely family, a beautiful villa in Sardinia, everything going for him. What a shame.

What is going on with these Celebrity Chefs?
I know first hand of two femail Teachers who appeared on "Ready Steady Cook" several years ago.
The Chef they were paired up with as the mentor, was completely out of order, a total Sleeze bag with inappropriate suggestions and wondering hands.
These two ladies told him what exactly what he could do with himself and complained to the organisers, how many others didn't complain, or tell him straight.
Interesting, you don't see or hear about him these days, so obviously word got around.

When the accusations date back to a time when men expected to be able to get away with doubtful jokes and 'banter' and being handsy, I have a sneaking sympathy for them when these accusations come out and they are agrieved

But the latest batch of accusations, are for remarks that people in the public eye have made at a time when they knew that if they made the remarks they did, or behaved they way they did they were highly likely to be reported or outed and their careers would be over. The range of people who have been outed and ruined is enormous and goes well up the celebrity chain so they cannot have thought they were too important to be cancelled, so why on earth do they do it?
