They already use prisoners for labor. Alabama got in trouble for denying prisoners parole, despite these prisoners being allowed in society alone during the day. Alabama has made millions on the program.
Also in Alabama, last time mass deportation happened, they put prisoners in the fields. Crops were finally lost when the prisoners refused to work.
Wyllow we have sales taxes at the State, County and City level. Where I live, when I purchase goods I pay a 6.2% sales tax. The next city over I would pay 8.5%.
We also pay taxes on our homes. Colorado is one of the lowest in the country for home taxes, but that has jumped the last 2 years.
We also pay state income taxes. 4.4% if I remember correctly.
To the feds we pay federal income taxes. That varies and people need a degree to understand that, but I think the rates run from 10% to 28%.
In my house, we also pay $1000 a month for our portion of employer sponsered Healthcare.
Trump has mentioned getting rid of income tax and adding a VAT. I don't think that will be popular but who knows what they think anymore.
