The other filled up very swiftly - so I assume a need for it’s continuation.

Yes, these stories are starting to surface. It is horrifying. I knew as soon as he withdrew the US from the Human Rights Council things were going to get bad..

And now that he is invoked the Alien Insurrection Act, which has only ever been used during war I believe, that allows him to legally engage in this type of actions and these people will have absolutely no due process.

In Minnesota, a bill has been introduced to classify Trump Derangement Syndrome as a mental illness. It is to note that a diagnosis of mental illness could potentially affect a persons right to own weapons.

"Subd. 40a. Trump Derangement Syndrome. "Trump Derangement Syndrome" means the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal persons that is in reaction to the policies
and presidencies of President Donald J. Trump. Symptoms may include Trump-induced general hysteria, which produces an inability to distinguish between legitimate policy differences and signs of psychic pathology in President Donald J. Trump's behavior. This may be expressed by: 1) verbal expressions of intense hostility toward President Donald J. Trump; and (2) overt acts of aggression and violence against anyone supporting President Donald
J. Trump or anything that symbolizes President Donald J. Trump."

This will never pass, but it shows how ridiculous it has become. I wish I was making this up.

I really can’t cope with this level of inhumane insanity, not sure how you manage it imaround but my sympathies are with you.
Btw am up at this ungodly hour because I have the flu 🤒

Omg! If this wasn’t true it would be quite hysterical, as it is real it’s horribly obscene and frightening!

The term has been around for some time (and used for/against previous presidents in a minor way) and alluded to in research studies but its getting more usage now//; however Trump himself has been accusing others since 2018.

However, what is significant now is that some Republicans have "bought into it" so much they are attempting to enshrine it in law in the Minnesota bill.

what was a political game of words for them is an actual "reality". To me, its an extreme example of how the Trump cult has taken hold to the extent of becoming "thought police", a dangerous feature of cults.

I think denying the unintended consequences are the biggest disaster. We see it time and time again. This will happen a lot in Trumpland. It has happened in the U.K. post Brexit.

I notice with satisfaction that the Greenlanders voted against becoming part of the USA.

Reports are starting to come out of seniors on Social Security being declared dead by Musk, because he didn't understand the computer system, and had their bank accounts stripped of money the government is trying to claw back.

When Musk said all those people were being paid were "dead", actually weren't.

I have seen stories of it taking people years to undeclare themselves dead after a mistake like this. These people can't bank, May have trouble traveling, not to mention not having their mostly social security to pay bills with.

More people hurt.

Wyllow3 Sun 16-Mar-25 23:07:30

This follows false claims of grossly inflated numbers of "dead" claimants by Musk, doesn't it so now he's gone for live claimants.

If this had happened in Uk then our red top newspapers would have gone straight for the jugular with the current government.

Musk is back at it. He has forcefully gained access to the US Institute of Peace.

imaround Mon 17-Mar-25 23:39:45

He has removed the Secret Service protection of Hunter and Ashley Biden.

I am all for Musk auditing and cleaning up the ridiculous amount of fraudulent federal government spending. I think this will cause horrible poverty and 70% unemployment rates and a crashing of the entire system and after the nightmare, good will follow for the people of the U.S. (for those who don't run away). This is what they voted for.

For the rest of the planet, no good will follow. And then there will be another election.

Report on it.

Its bizarre

I am interested to hear how much "fradulent" spending is actually happening.

Funds appropriated by Congress are not fraudulent just because Trump and his supporters dont like what it was being spent on. The numbers being shared by Musk keep being debunked every day. Each agency already had a watch dog above it and Must a lnd Trump filed all of them.

Interestingly enough, after Musk found all this "fraud", his corporations Space X and Starlink got billion dollar government contracts without going through the normal bidding process. That actually is fradulent.

Remember when Biden pardoned the Jan 6th committee despite them doing nothing wrong? Because he was worried that Trump was going to go after them for doing their jobs investigating him?

Trump just declared all their pardons null and void. Those people are now going to be investigated by Trunp's team.

I miss being able to share photos. 😓

Wyllow. This organization is independent of the executive branch and owns their own land amd building. Workers called the police on Musk's team and the police allowed Musk in.

We can't trust our own police force to protect us now. I mean, I knew this because most police officers are Trump supporters. But it is sad to actually see it on action.

It's clear that Trump is a bitter dictator who would and will act against anyone who once, in his perception, was "nasty" to him.

Are you seriously saying your State Police are in the pocket of Trump imaround?

I read about this yesterday.

POTUS Trump has had POTUS Biden signatures analysed and apparently they were signed by an automatic signature method, the screenshots showed them to be identical, and therefore has declared them to be invalid.

I am saying what happened FGT. When police were called, they allowed/helped Musk and his team to go into the building, despite it not being legal for them to do.

I could show you countless examples of police being MAGA, and breaking the law.

Are all police officer MAGA? No. But a large portion of them are. You can look into that if you're interested.

Babs03 Tue 18-Mar-25 14:23:49

I can believe it imaround but maybe the police also feel they have no choice, if they don’t kowtow to this petulant dictator and his cronies their necks could be on the line.
Nobody is safe right now.
This is the most worrying v thing I have heard.
If the police are not there for the people the people are screwed.

Babs03 Tue 18-Mar-25 14:27:53

Not sure how many more milestones on the way to a rogue state the US is going to have reached before we all realise that the writing on the wall is now blood on the floor.

This is good news. Supreme Court told Trump he can't impeach judges just because he doesn't like the rulings.

I cant believe he had to be told that. Dictators going to dictate I guess.

Elegran Tue 18-Mar-25 17:48:46

There are a lot of things that he doesn't seem to know about the history and the electoral, legal, administration and welfare systems of the nation that he has been elected to be President of. He thinks it is the same as being the combined CEO, chairman of the board, and majority shareholder in a commercial company which deals only in finance, never in human beings or humanity.

imaround Tue 18-Mar-25 18:01:29

He knows the rules. He just thinks they don't apply to him.

Thank you, this is good news. I was wondering when the Supreme Court was going to be involved. They are pro Republican but I am relieved they will draw limits (or fgs, there will be no possibility of intendant justice at all.
