I see that Trump is hinting at getting involved with Iran.

It’s taken him a while to realize that businesses don’t like their cheap Labour taken away, those business owners voted for him too.

I hope there will be a moment in time when this vindictive, thin-skinned, semi-literate, narcissist, who - as some political commentator said - behaves like the world is his personal fiefdom - can be held to account by those brave enough to say sod the diplomacy.

He already changed his mind on the farm workers last I heard.

There is a reason why people call him TACO. It stands for Trump Always Chickens Out. He does have a tendency to flip flop.

Trump's team used the word rebellion in court yesterday at the hearing about California's National Guard. The words they are using are invasion, insurrection and now rebellion when it comes to the protests. He has directed federal agents to Democrat cities to "round up migrants". Kristi Noem has said these cities need to be liberated from the Democrats.

Language is so important. Everyone should be paying attention.

Just wondering what you are hearing about Trump and Iran?

The message I am seeing is Trump is warming to the idea of getting involved. I haven't gone looking for information though, so I don't know more than the headlines right now.

Trump has approved the plan to attack Iran but so far has done nothing. He hasn't asked permission from the UK to use their base at Diego Garcia to attack Iran which they would have expected.

I'm not sure how important the turning away of the ICE agents from the LA Dogers stadium will be perceived in America but it seemed like a fundamental act of resistance to me. I hope the feeling that such resistance can take place spreads to others, but it's a very scary thing to do under current conditions.

It is a big deal. It reminds us we can be hopeful.

London, by the way, is kicking my behind. The temp I can handle. The humidity? I am not used to that.

I am sitting outside Buckingham Palace though, so I am happy.

Not this trip. I am on a student tour so we are all pre-planned. Learned the tube and seeing hotspots only.

Fairford is used as a transit and training base for US heavy bombers and used by U2 spy planes continually, who knows where to, probably mostly Europe, plenty of information on aircraft using Fairford online. There doesn’t appear to be any weapon storage areas at Fairford, Lakenheath is much more significant as are the bases in Spain and Italy.
Fairford is a reserve base and hosts the annual Air Tattoo due in 4 weeks, highly unlikely to be used in any Iran action. If the US needs a base for B2 bombers closer to Iran it will be Diego Garcia, for a short campaign the B2 is easily capable of reaching Iran from the US there is no need.
