Oh Lordy, what now …this is scary news and now what happens..

He's typed it in capitals so he really means business.

I guess petrol prices will go up once the Strait of Hormuz is closed. That will make everything more expensive for nearly everyone.

The irony is that Trump's attack on Iran now means that Iran will definitely build a nuclear weapon.
There is still doubt from experts in the US that there was imminent danger from Iran.
Also Trump acted illegally by not seeking approval from Congress.
By dancing to Netanyahu's tune he has put the whole world in danger and Iran will make sure now that they have a nuclear weapon.

Absolute applause for your take, AGAA4! This is exactly what I was trying to say in a post on this thread.

I could not have put it any clearer. All f-a-c-t-s point to this. Not opinions, thoughts or hopes, just facts. trump completely avoided Congress' approval.

And you better believe Iran will be madly working away to build a bigger and better machine. The attacks have already begun. Next to be struck, the Gulf of Hormuz. Oil folks.

Yes!

They better hurry up with their new nuclear program.
This one that has been destroyed was started in 2006.
Plus they haven’t got to piss in.
Comments from Russia and China are noticeably in their absence.
As for the Gulf of Hormuz, the navel military might that is in that area is awesome.

I don't know about all that. Perhaps you've made an update since this post, as you may have come to learn these strikes were unsuccessful. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-iran-strikes-nuclear-bomb-fordow-b2775494.html

Quote from POTUS just now to journalists

You know we have two countries, fighting so hard and for so long they do not know what the fuck they are doing

I guess he is rather angry that his cease fire didn’t hold…

The man is an absolute disgrace.

And do you think he is right to be angry? For once, for just the once, I totally agree with him.

Again and again, as soon as some sort of agreement is about to be reached, Israel ensures it can't happen. It startered with the murder of Iksaak Rabin. Again, and again. Netanyahu does not want a deal, and he is dangerous, more dangerous than anyone else on the planet currently.

Why on this occasion? He is right.

I have just had a quick Google and several sources are reporting that it was Iran that broke the ceasefire first this morning.

Because they are not the words that should be coming out of a person's mouth. A person who holds one of the highest offices and should be a role model, act with integrity, diplomacy, good humour, decency, wisdom, compassion.

I had to check that he did really say this but he now knows the truth. His bombing raid was a gamble that has not paid off and he now has to deal with the consequences.

👏 I so agree with you, a foul word

Trump must be totally exasperated by now…. If swearing is a shorthand way of getting through to the warring parties, why not? Nothing else seems to be working. Seems like war is preferred option?

Oreo Tue 24-Jun-25 13:23:12

Well done to Israel and the US, for successfully ruining Irans nuclear plans😃
I think that Trumps ‘deal’ with Iran and Israel will hold now as Israel won’t want to offend the US and relies on them, and Iran will be terrified of offending them, hence the missiles aimed at the US base, which they pre warned the Americans about and knew would be easily shot down.
Trump should have got a clear agreement from both countries before announcing it on Truth Social, he’s only angry that it’s made him look a bit silly but it’s his own fault.
Israel will be happy to have got the result they wanted.

AGAA4 Tue 24-Jun-25 13:27:00

Does Trump regret aiding Israel now? It seems so. He is furious mostly with Israel.
It could have been a fruitless waste of money as it appears that Iran moved the uranium before the attack.
Some might say it serves Trump right as he promised to keep the US out of other countries' wars. Backfired on him. Netanyahu should never have been trusted not Iran.

AGAA4 Tue 24-Jun-25 13:28:21

*not Iran.

William Alberque: Okay, so what they have right now is not suitable for a dirty bomb at all. If they wanted to create a dirty bomb, they could use spent fuel from a nuclear reactor. But what we’re talking about is a gaseous uranium that they’re enriching to a higher level. If they’re able to reconstitute the ability to enrich it, by taking centrifuges and moving them elsewhere, it could take weeks or so to get that back up to 90% or something like that. Then they’d have to turn it into metal to turn into a bomb. Very, very unlikely that they could do that in any kind of short order. That would take much longer to reconstitute. So I do take the point that they’ve been delayed on the path to a bomb, but if they hide all this material, then there will be questions as to what was the actual purpose of doing this, aside from taking out the longer range, longer term, larger capabilities that they had buried in these facilities

It can be useful to gather a few quick ideas and so on but there seriously is some utter rubbish written here.

A lot of us , proably trying to make sense of something which doesn't make sense. Worrying about the ramifications for our own, small lives and the poor people caught up in this almighty mess.

So " well done Israel" no, not really.

Perhaps not from everyone lafergar including you, but I do feel relieved that Israel and the US have defied Iran’s plans for full nuclear capabilities and think the rest of the world should be too.

I was hoping this might come in handy one day. I worked out some maths on the little minion's melon. Try as I may, I could not come up with a solid equation. Somehow, it makes no sense. I would be wearing a hat, too, if this were the case.
