MSF have written to the British government saying that it (MSF) considers the British government to be complicit in genocide.

So it’s undecided

Caleo Thu 17-Jul-25 10:29:00

Those medics of MSF who tend to everyone without bias are to be trusted.

Do you think it's not only us Brits but Europe that are letting Palestine people take all the pain and suffering from from Israeli aggression? Israeli aggression suits Europeans because Europeans want to keep control of Arab oil. So we tacitly support Israel.

What do you think, WWM?

Caleo Thu 17-Jul-25 10:32:46

PS The British police are now actively involved in closing down protests that name genocide and Israeli aggression. I never thought our country even could come to this.

Oreo, I hear you saying in effect that we should be sceptical of all news sources including Al Jazeera.

We must agree that it's silly not to examine the motives of newspapers and other media.

Do you think that Israeli authorities fear that telling the unadulterated truth about the war against Gaza and the West Bank will weaken the will of Israeli people to continue the war? Therefore it was a strategic move to ban the truth teller.

Keeping the people in ignorance is an age-old strategy of those in power.

Where to find “the unadulterated truth about the war in Gaza”

Maremia Thu 17-Jul-25 11:21:36

The truth will emerge if/when Netanyahu is finally arrested, charged and tried.

The Catholic Church in Gaza has been damaged by an attack, the priest with whom the late Pope spoke to daily has been injured together with others. Is there nowhere in Gaza that the IDF won't attack, this is the second time is has been attacked, you'd have thought they'd have known where it was. They killed four people last time.

“The IDF makes every feasible effort to mitigate harm to civilians and civilian structures, including religious sites, and regrets any damage caused to them,” the military said.

The IDF is distancing itself from plans for a concentration camp - it seems even the IDF who have committed so many war crimes find this too hard to swallow.

Said many times in this thread, Netanyahu controls IDF, strange how they have no problem with shooting a child wanting a drink of water allegedly ,yet now find something too hard to swallow ,

The ICC have rejected Israel's request to withdraw the arrest warrant for Netanyahu. Good

The chaos surrounding GHF has resulted in 20 people being crushed to death. This never happened when proper aid relief was being given by the UN.

Tom Fletcher. UNReliefChief

Remarks at Security Council

“We hold all parties to the standards of international law.

We don’t have to choose – and we must not choose – between ending the starvation of civilians in Gaza and demanding the unconditional release of hostages”

Prof Nick Maynard was interviewed just after 7.300 on BBC radio 4 this morning. His description of what he is seeing in Gaza is heartbreaking. I absolutely defy anyone to accuse this man of dishonestly representing his first hand experience of what is happening in Gaza. It is truly awful.
Deliberate targeting of young people queuing for food by IDF soldiers. Different days, different body parts targeted including the testicles, this war is damaging some Israeli soldiers to the extent that they behave like this, no wonder some are refusing to fight. Description of malnutrition, visiting doctors who try to bring formula milk to feed sick babies with them have it confiscated!
Evidence is being collected and hopefully at some point people will pay the price for their inhumanity regardless of which side they are on.

Anniebach Fri 18-Jul-25 08:35:21

Nick Maynard yet another calling for ceasefire, no mention of
releasing hostages

AGAA4 Fri 18-Jul-25 08:43:21

Despite the IDF excusing attacks as mistakes it was obvious what was happening in Gaza. Thanks to Nick Maynard it is now confirmed.
The damage the Israeli government have done to the Gazan people and their own soldiers will be a stain on their country forever.

Israeli government by choice of Israelis, Gaza government by
choice of Palestinians

Israel are now levelling all the buildings in Gaza. Everywhere in Rafah is now just rubble. It is a war crime for occupying forces to do this.

Maremia Fri 18-Jul-25 09:06:19

Are you saying AnnieB, that the whole of the people of Israel are to be held accountable for these war crimes and the ongoing Genocide?
I strongly refute that.

foxie48 Fri 18-Jul-25 09:11:41

FGS Annie the German people voted Hitler in, but I doubt many would have voted for him if they'd understood what the consequences would be for their Jewish neighbours. I think you need to find a better excuse for the situation in Gaza than a government voted in by a narrow margin in Gaza nearly 20 years ago and an Israeli government held together by a coalition of right wing extremists. fwiw Netanyahu got 23% of the votes!

I do not make excuses I post my opinions as do you, do try to stop personal criticism, thank you

foxie48 Fri 18-Jul-25 09:36:23

Point taken, so please remove "you need to find" and substitute "there needs to be" also remove the "FGS" as it is unnecessary and rude of me to show my irritation. Apologies.

It has to be remembered that at least two senior members of the Knesset are convicted criminals and Netanyahu is being tried for corruption.
Do people really want these people running their country. The results are clear to see as they are still committing criminal offences. Israel deserves better.

Who are the convicted criminals ? What of the remaining
118 ?

The Knesset is the unicameral national legislature of Israel. It is the country's parliament and has the sole authority to pass laws. The Knesset also supervises the government, elects the President and State Comptroller, and deliberates on state issues through its committees. It has 120 members and is located in Jerusalem.

What he is seeing in Gaza are the sad scenes from any war or conflict, people being injured or killed in all sorts of scenarios.
What he can’t say with any certainty at all is that there is deliberate targeting of young people waiting for food.Nor can he say that certain body parts are being specifically targeted, that’s nonsense.Nor can he know where the bullets come from, either IDF or hamas, as in some cases hamas are targeting their own people.
In short, he doesn’t know everything yet is writing as if he does.
