Rather than resurrect the old thread on this, I thought I'd start a new one. The tribunal case involving NHS Fife Nurse Sandie Peggie, who objected to having to share a changing room and get undressed in front of transgender Dr Beth Upton, has resumed today.
And coincidentally (!) it has also been announced that Sandie Peggie has been cleared of the misconduct charges against her: www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cm2mp5jley8o
We've also seen NHS Fife's own Diversity Lead, Isla Bumba, being made to show that she knows very little about the very subjects she's being paid almost £50k to 'advise' on.

No, it's still continuing.
Good news! We're not out of the woods yet with these matters in spite of court rulings. The Trans Rights Alliance, one of the trans factions inside Labour, have put forward a trans woman, Steph Richards, for the role of Women's Officer embroiling Labour in a fresh row over trans rights. They/them were previously CEO of an endometriosis charity and an advocate of ladyman breastfeeding, there's an oxymoron if ever there was one. Meanwhile the row over transgender women accessing the women only ponds on Hampstead Heath rumbles on and is set to reach the High Court, so the outcome of that will be interesting. There is already a men only pond and a mixed swimming pond, so with transwomen still accessing the women only pond, in fact as it stands now it's one men only and two mixed. Mixed
is never good enough though, cos men men, the ones that identify as well men are in there with their manly swimming trunks why would they/them in their lady swimming cossies want to get in mixed murky waters with trunk wearers at worst budgie smugglers
Anyway so pleased for Nurse Sandie Peggie. Well done!

why on earth are trans women still accessing the women only pond when it's already been stipulated that only biological women are women?
According to Robin Moira White, a barrister who identifies as a transwoman, they are simply awaiting the guidance on the treatment of transwomen to be finalised, then they will all troop off to the E,C.H.R. who will overthrow the Supreme Court's judgement and they will all be able to behave exactly as before.

Labour aren't helping are they. Hasn't KS worked out 'what a woman' is yet?
women aren't allowed to raise concerns. It's happening in health and education
I'm glad the nurse has clear boundaries in place to know what the law actually says
I think I am hopeful, pretty much every recent court case has gone in favour of the gender critical viewpoint, but we need to acknowledge that there are some people who can never give up this fight, how can they? If you have been told again and again that you are a woman, if you have undergone irreversible surgery because people said that would make you a woman then you are always going to fight this battle.
I am very pleased for Sandie Peggie. We should have a right to women only spaces. As I have said before, I don’t have a problem with trans people but they should have their own spaces for whatever sex they choose to be.
Sandie Peggy is a modern day suffragette, standing up for women's rights. She has had 18 months of stress preparing for and giving evidence in her ongoing case against Dr 'Beth' Upton. Dr Upton complained that he, a 6 foot biological male, was intimidated by the much shorter & slimmer Nurse Pegg in the women's changing room.
Why women are expected to accommodate these ludicrous men who decide, frequently in later life after marriage & children, that they are actually a woman, is beyond me. If they want to cross dress that is their choice, but that does not give them access to women's spaces, organisations and sports. Eddie Izzard is a prime example of this. For years he was a transvestite, and accepted as such, then suddenly he is Susie Izzard, still a cross dressing male but now joining the bandwagon that demands to be accepted into women's cloakrooms, hospital wards, prisons, etc etc. Like Dr Upton, Mr Izzard is a totally intact male, yet demands that women accept him in their private spaces. The Supreme Court decision that the only women are biological women was a landmark decision and the change has begun. It will be a long journey but our granddaughters will benefit from the stand of women like Sandie Peggy.
Women have always been subjected to men! you know what I mean, throughout the ages and even now in some present countries! women are treated as lesser than men
apologies if this offends but that is what I seem, what are trans men like? do we ever hear of them creating?
If they have transitioned and are without their bits, then I am OK with sharing facilities.
Not sure that I would be able to tell the difference in a lot of cases, but an entire large male is a different story and so this is not about the generic debate, but about this specific case. If he truly believes he/she a woman then why is he/she behaving like a man, bullying his/her way into his/her rights over other's needs.
My feeling is that they have grown up in a world that automatically bestows a right of way on men, so they really have NO idea what it is to be a woman - to grow up being excluded/restricted/ignored/quieted down/discriminated against; to have periods and all that entails. Exercising their rights comes as second nature, assuming automatically that they have them because they want them.
Many, especially in sport, seem to not accept that their physical strength and presence has just gone away because they think they feel like a woman. I have a 6ft well built lady friend, a very feminine lady, who gently glides into a room and does not get into my space, because from an early age her mother conditioned her to do so. (She does not have muscles or male strength either) It is possible that "Beth" has no idea that he needs to do so, especially if he is a hospital doctor (not known as a group for their timidity)

Another reason to leave the ECHR.
Good comments FranP
He made really nasty and unsubstantiated allegations about her including that she failed to look after patients. This has been dismissed. Surely that's a malicious act. Massive compensation due.
Meanwhile, what happens to Dr Upton next? Who will want to employ him? Which nurse would be willing to work with such a proven bully?
No one has ever 'transitioned.'
Regardless of what they cut off or stitch on, they remain the sex they were born with.
And he does not believe he is a woman, he knows he is a man, after all, he is a doctor.
But this is how he performs his fetish at the expense of the women he works with.

He has already stated that he believes biological sex to be a 'nebulous dog whistle', which is an extremely concerning view for a doctor to hold, IMO.

Is Isla Bunba going to be the sacrificial lamb?
I was vaguely aware of a tribunal of some kind but not been following, I have no idea who Isla Bunba is, off to google it......
I'm glad she won! Fed up with my rights,as a woman, being disregarded at the expense of the minority....

Isla Bumba is NHS Fife's equality and human rights lead officer, who yesterday told the tribunal that she does not know if she is a woman or not, because she's never had her chromosomes tested.
Agree completely Bestbookever. There is no such thing as a Trans woman/man. They are transvestites. As the eminent Professor Robert Winston says 'you can't change your sex because it is embedded in your genes in every cell in your body'. This Tribunal is a farce however it is highlighting the nonsense being peddled in organisations accross the country and hopefully this will help to restore normal working practices and actually follow the Equality Act 2010, it hasn't changed.
Personally I have no issues with people being who they want to be as long as they do not upset or involve other people in their wants and wishes. I do object changing in the same room as someone who still have all the tackle of the opposite sex. I would be just as unhappy having to share a hospital ward too. Just because they think they are a woman, doesn't mean that their tackle doesn't work like a mans. The case of the 'transwoman' who was put in a womans prison and raped an inmate comes to mind.
I have a neighbour whose son is 'trans' or thinks he is. He is young so you never know. I just treat him like anyone else when he comes into the shop I work in.
We have a customer, lets call him George. Sometimes I serve George with his newspaper, sometimes I serve Georgina.
They all get treated the same. but then neither of them have demanded special treatment because of their ways or beliefs.
Isn't it strange that we don't hear all this fuss about trans men? We don't hear about them demanding this, that or the other, do we?
MrsMatt so very well said, thankyou. I would hope that I also treat people in that manner
slightly different ,but sort of similar to me, being an old fashioned sort of person
we had a vicar who came to help us temporarily, and he was the most lovely natural person, he stood at the "altar" and told us all he had feelings for the same sex, can`t remember how he phrased it exactly, but most of us , women parishioners already knew that... he is a lovely person, and we miss him so much. but MrsMatt
to comment on your final sentence, that is what I tried to express earlier,, why doesn`t the media and other discussions on this subject/ these people ever refer to this point?
