It is very difficult to understand what is really happening and what are lies being perpetrated by Israel or Hamas. Add to this reporting restrictions and it is surprising we know as much as we do.

Wouldn’t happen if Israel were committing genocide

No one should blame those who are starving. The black market has always gone on in every conflict,

The ones selling food aid are far from starving.
You can’t eat money.
They are selling it quite brazenly in the market.

Maremia Elbit Systems is an Israeli technology company. Clear now why Palestine Action have been proscribed as terrorists.

Don’t be ridiculous.
The Home Office have proscribed this group because they are dangerous in what they’re prepared to do.It’s a wake up call to anyone who thinks they might join in.
Breaking into a military base and causing damage to planes was a step too far.

I don’t support it but it always goes on and people suffer.

A real shame on Gazans is that they are selling food aids to their own people at hugely inflated prices in the market place.
Gangs of young men push their way to the front of the queue according to other Gazans and get aid which they then sell. The goods are marked with the UN or GHF logos.
It’s hard enough to make sure people get aid without it being used in this way. Looting is another way they get it.

Wouldn’t be happening if Israeli wasn't committing genocide through starvation

You support the selling of food to fellow countrymen?
Hamas started this war

That hardly excuses hamas members, assorted crims and others for barging in or stealing aid that was given does it?

Elbit is a massive Israeli arms company with factories in the uk , two in Kent, producing arms fir israel which as far as I recall is still continuing at pace despite the uk having reduced weapons to Israel from this country,

Yes, one is one too many , I like facts and thousands in next few
days is not fact
What is your evidence for that statement? The International Rescue Committee have stated that children will either be rescued in the next few days or left to die.
Where is your fact?

I replied to a post which claimed “thousands will die in next few days”

So, they have classed it as a terrorist group, alongside ISIS. Seriously?
A lobby? group called Elbit Systems (new to me) claims the action group is backed by Iran. If Elbit Systems is a foreign nationals' organisation, should they have such lobbying power?
If there is an appeal against the decision, then there should be more information coming to light.

Didn’t you know about this group and the fact it’s been proscribed already?
Their latest attack on military planes is the last straw and the government took the decision to stop it in its tracks quite rightly.
Anyone supporting this group can be arrested, it isn’t a peaceful protest group and who knows who it’s backers are.

From Israel

“B'Tselem בצלם بتسيلم
@btselem
Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.

It sounds inconceivable. But it’s the truth.

Israel is taking deliberate, coordinated action to destroy the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Explicit statements by Israeli officials, combined with a consistent policy of destructive attacks and other practices of annihilation, prove beyond a doubt that Israel’s target is the entire population of Gaza.

Entire cities razed to the ground; medical, educational, religious and cultural infrastructure systematically destroyed; 2 million Palestinians forcibly displaced with the aim of expelling them from Gaza; and, of course, mass starvation and killing - all this amounts to an explicit attempt to destroy the population of Gaza and impose living conditions so catastrophic that Palestinian society cannot continue to exist there.

That is the exact definition of genocide.

The report we are releasing today is a warning: The ideology driving the Israeli regime is not confined to Gaza.

The same regime, the same army, the same leaders and the same commanders are implementing extremely violent practices against Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and within Israel. We are already witnessing the spillover of practices Israel is using in Gaza to other areas - on a different scale, but guided by the same logic. In the West Bank, this is taking the form of airstrikes, demolition of refugee camps, mass evictions, and the deliberate destruction of Palestinian economy and society.

No Palestinian who lives under the genocidal Israeli regime is safe.

There is no justification for genocide – not “self-defense”, not “security”, and not the heinous acts committed by Hamas on October 7, 2023, which triggered profound existential fear among Israelis.

The international community has not only failed in its duty to stop the atrocities, but the leaders of the Western world, particularly the United States and Europe, also share responsibility by providing support that enables Israel’s acts of destruction. It is the duty of the international community to stop the genocide Israel is carrying out in Gaza.

On social media, we are seeing footage of people buried under bombed-out buildings, displaced persons’ camps on fire, children starving, people desperate for water, and hospitals left unable to treat the injured and the sick.

As a human rights organization it is our duty and responsibility to say the truth: Genocide is happening, right here and right now.

This is our genocide, and we need to stop it.”

I read your post Wyllow3, and it makes me wonder where the pressure came from, for the Government to ban the protest group as a 'terrorist' group, if it does not meet the criteria.

Thousands will die in the next few days ?

AGAA4 Tue 29-Jul-25 08:38:21

It has taken too long for the world to wake up to the plight of the Palestinians.
Aid organisations have said the next few days are crucial. Either children will be fed or thousands will die in that time.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 29-Jul-25 08:03:34

I am pleased to know that the world now accept that there is mass starvation in Gaza inflicted by the Israeli government.

The British government is meeting to discuss the proposals to recognise a Palestinian state.

Humanitarian aid is also being discussed.
