It isn’t Hezbollah saying that ‘one Israeli life equals one thousand Palestinians’, it is ordinary people, Muslims and Christians.
Equating what ordinary people say or feel with Hezbollah is your problem, you don’t see the ordinary people caught up in this, all you see is the enemy.

A quick history lesson Oreo from someone who may know a tad more than you about Lebanon.
Lebanon has been ripped apart by sectarianism for many decades, the Sunni Muslims hate Hezbollah who are Shi’ite and live in the South where they don’t mix with Sunni Muslims, then there are a sizeable number of Christians, just under half the population, who don’t get along very well with either Sunni or Shi’ite Muslims.
There is a government - not Hezbollah - who should represent both Muslims and Christians in order to keep an uneasy peace.
However, due to the economy being wrecked and the government accused of corruption, there is little in the way of governance.
Am afraid Hezbollah are just another thorn in the side to the long suffering Lebanese people.

I only point that out as there are various posts on here mentioning God and religion in regards to the Israeli government.

I don’t assume anything about anyone. I don’t know what religion some of my friends are. It just hasn’t come up in conversation. No one mentions going to church, mosque, temple or synagogue etc so can only assume that like me they follow no particular religion.
Jewish people have hardly been mentioned on these threads and of course I don’t believe they are all religious. Why woukd they be.
It’s the Israeli government that has been consistently criticised, not the people.

The Israeli government will be made up of the religious and of agnostics and atheists .

It may well be TheatreLover but it’s always good to show the actual spelling IMO as the two words have different meanings.

Hugely disproportionate, but every one of them were people just like us, getting on with their lives, with children and families, hopes and dreams, tears and fears. It’s a tragedy for them and for us all.

That’s two men’s interpretation. The Torah says thou shalt not murder. There’s also the concept of a just war. The removal of Hamas probably falls into this category.
