Should we charge the Gov with inherited tax

Is anyone else fed up with hearing the generic excuse from the government ministers “we inherited “ is it time we charged them with an INHERITED tax. Without fail we hear it with every interview, speech, debate or question time. Just wondered if others felt the same.

Perhaps if we hadn't invaded the majority of the countries these people are coming from we'd have a say in it. Did we ask permission to take the best from other countries or did we just take. See the sins of the fathers etc!
