They will claim the were all Hammas, including the children...

Smileless2012 Sat 18-Oct-25 12:49:36

Of course they will keepingquiet; it's sickening.

Hi Wyllow, just popping over from the other Thread. Cariad explained that you had started this one.
So sad, that we are still talking about this situation.

Smileless2012 Sat 18-Oct-25 13:33:47

Especially when peace seems to be no nearer Maremia.

AGAA4 Sat 18-Oct-25 13:46:44

How can there possibly be peace when these atrocities are still being perpetrated. The IDF are still trigger happy it seems.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 18-Oct-25 14:14:56

Aid is at the most only half of what was agreed.

Israel seems absolutely on breaking the peace agreement.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 18-Oct-25 14:19:14

Intent 😡

Wyllow3 Sat 18-Oct-25 14:30:22

I think the picture was modded, as it did appear correctly in the "choose file" box.
It showed the bodies wrapped in white, and one man sitting by them, worn, exhausted, gaunt, defeated. I will try to re post.

But we do need a thread where the overall situation reminds under discussion, as opposed to one concentrating on a partuclar event, ie the upcoming football match.

Here is a 10 minute UN report on the current situation. More aid is getting in: the situation remains desperate:

incidents like the one I reported is still happening every single day

this is not covered on this report, which is concentrating on aid coming in.

One day ago: here is Gideon Levy: an Israeli journalist standing up for Gaza, reflecting on the overall situation. Recommended watching

Lastly, an Al Jazeera report on the incident I started this trread with
www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/10/18/israel-kills-11-palestinian-family-members-in-gazas-deadliest-truce-breach

Wyllow3 Sat 18-Oct-25 14:31:51

Sorry, the reference to the UN report on aid getting in:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dxNpBQCZ3s&t=59s

worth watching as it does show that aid is getting in and the hopes of people in Gaza in terms of food, hospitals, schools.

Maremia Sat 18-Oct-25 15:21:40

Thankful that food is getting in, but people need to be at peace to thrive.

CariadAgain Sat 18-Oct-25 15:45:54

Maremia

Thankful that food is getting in, but people need to be at peace to thrive.

Very true.

"Peace of mind" of not living on the edge of your nerves - wondering when the next incident will happen...

Maremia Sat 18-Oct-25 17:23:26

Being able to start making plans.

AGAA4 Sat 18-Oct-25 20:23:35

The IDF have killed eleven people travelling in a bus. They said they were approaching the yellow line which the IDF controls but how can the Palestinians know where the yellow line is if there are no markings. The bus was full of one family with children on board. How likely are they to have deliberately crossed the line with their children in the bus.

Maremia Sat 18-Oct-25 20:50:18

Not likely at all.

CariadAgain Sun 19-Oct-25 07:12:41

Has anyone got a map to show all of Gaza on the one hand and another one with where that "yellow line" that has been drawn on the other hand?

I "theenk" from something I read somewhere that the "yellow line" about equates to = they've now stolen half of Gaza as well as what they'd already stolen out of the rest of Palestine.

Their sheer nerve never ceases to astonish me....even though I know that's what land thieves are like in any context (micro level to macro level = they act the same).

Whitewavemark2 Sun 19-Oct-25 07:19:36

53% of Gaza is occupied by the IDF, but Israel controls 100% of Gaza and West Bank.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 19-Oct-25 07:27:31

Palestinians continue to be violently killed by both Israeli gunmen - for no apparent reason and Hamas who are - like all militias do - claiming very rough justice in the form of executions for apparent collaboration.

Those poor people.

Wyllow3 Sun 19-Oct-25 07:35:44

😢

CariadAgain Sun 19-Oct-25 07:45:16

Those poor people indeed.

Are the IDF even putting up physical markers of the 53% of Gaza they are "occupying" - as I imagine at least some of the killings of Palestinians they are still doing there are because, in all innocence, a Palestinian is trying to walk from "ruined street A" to "ruined street B" and not realising the IDF have "drawn an invisible line" between them (that yellow line) and the first they know is they get shot at...

Maremia Sun 19-Oct-25 07:55:16

Is there any way that ordinary folk can 'win'?

Chocolatelovinggran Sun 19-Oct-25 08:21:15

Sadly, I fear that this was all very predictable. Mr Trump has had his moment of glory, and has no interest in working on the next stages of this fragile " ceasefire".

AGAA4 Sun 19-Oct-25 08:33:33

Hamas is planning an attack on the gangs in Gaza which is being said will break the ceasefire. There should have been a peacekeeping force from various nations in Gaza apparently but as yet hasn't appeared.
There isn't any mention of Israel continuing to kill Palestinians as breaking the ceasefire.

Anniebach Sun 19-Oct-25 08:37:35

Hamas killed gangs days ago

twiglet77 Sun 19-Oct-25 08:37:59

While men find glee in killing, no politician’s words will dull it.
