IMO Trump actually admires Putin and wishes he had the same absolute power, inc. that of being able to have anyone who dares to question his actions, assassinated.

If Mr Trump were demented or otherwise unfit for office I think his entire cabinet would have to vote unanimoously to remove him. An unlikely event perhaps. But I'm not very familiar with the US Constitution so maybe I'm not right.

Vance would initiate this if he was sure of success, he is ruthless enough and has been a critic of Trump in the past.
