How awful was the fire in the night club on New year's eve, the victims so young. My heart goes out to all of the relatives. There needs to be a massive investigation, why where sparklers allowed, where were the people in charge, bar managers , security etc?

Why were those children allowed in a nightclub anyway where did their parents think they were? Terrible tradgedy.

I'm 64 now However I was going to nightclubs at 15. My parents will have thought I was staying over at a friend's. Quite normal.

Not so in the UK, it's quite strict ad ID has to be provided.
I am told by DGC that they and their friends can't even stay in some pubs after 7pm and certainly cannot consume alcohol. They're all going to be 18 this year.

I used to go to pubs and clubs at 14/15, I could present myself as much older and a group of us would usually go, we all said we were sleeping over at each others houses to our parents who were none the wiser.
As REKA says this is not unusual.

Sorry if I wrongly assumed that ID as in the U.K. would have to be shown on entry for customers age was questionable. I stand corrected.

I was shocked seeing the footage of sparklers and lit alcohol allowed inside. How crazy can you get. As for only one exit...

One 16 year old got out and went back in for his coat. Poor boy.
