Mandelson would only apologise for ‘a system’ that let down Epstein’s victims.
He claimed to have believed Epstein’s story thst he had been falsely criminalised in his contact with these young women. Now I wish I had not believed that story.
I can say categorically I never saw anything in his life when I was with him, when I was in his hands, that would give me any reason to suspect what an evil man this was

Lord M said he ne er saw girls at Epstein’s properties. He said he thiught he’d been ‘ kept separate’ from the sexual side ofthi fs because he’s gay.

I agree AGAA4. I’m frustrated that the evidence is painfully slow to be released, because there are undoubtedly those whose crimes were very serious, who are being protected. Until we know what, if anything further, Mandelson was involved in, condemning him for standing by Epstein is all there is available. It does surprise me that he is being given as much attention as He who is formerly known as Prince, though.

Monica and Iam, how do you know the following is true ?
Did he blackmail ?
Mandelson is a clever devious man, who has made his living out of finding out things other people would rather he didn't know. I simply cannot believe that a man like him wasn't fully knowledgeable about what Epsteins tastes and perversions were.”

Mandelson has been accused of much wrongdoing in this thread

Well yes, but I doubt he’s read any of it. He has not been officially accused of anything.

To me, asking for an apology from someone who hasn’t done anything he thinks is wrong (whether we think he has or not) is not unlike making a child apologise for eating the cake his sister took. You can make him do it, but it won’t be sincere and won’t bring the cake back. All it will do is teach both of them that people in authority can do as they wish, whether it’s just or not. If you catch him in the act of taking cake, or find crumbs in his bedroom it’s a different matter.

I am shocked to accuse someone of making a living finding out things about other people

Anniebach Nothing to do with blackmail. Some people are just very good at finding things out about people that other peeople would prefer kept hidden. That kind of person is usually very observant and picks up informstion from their surroundings.

I met a number of people like this during my working life - and learned to avoid them.

Casdon I think Mandelson was known as The Prince of Darkness

MOnica really, how did he make a living this way ?

M0nica Mon 19-Jan-26 14:55:11

Annie Peter Mandelson made his living as a politician and business consultant.
