BBC has recently posted this. They are now telling Cuba they must make a deal or suffer the consequences! Last time this happened we nearly had a nuclear war USA v USSR!

This is a bit of a frightened time.

I've gathered he's realised Canada is too big to take them on in a fight.

So he's got Venezuela and is after Greenland and Cuba too afaik.

Shame we can't send him down to the South Pole - where I've read some very "interesting" accounts of what can be found there - which may or may not be true - but he'll do for a fallguy to check it out.

Let’s not remind him*Bazza*! I live in Canada, a 15 minute drive away from the US border.

I haven’t heard about Trump’s designs on Canada lately. Perhaps he’s forgotten!

🤫
He might hear you.

A week ago, a very successful, well planned, covert operation removed Maduro from power, and Trump declared that he now ruled Venezuela.
Today, USA citizens are being advised to leave that country, as it is no longer safe to remain.
A day or so ago Trump had a big well publicised meeting in the Oval Office with the oil barons, expecting them to bid lots of money for a share in the plunder.
They declined.
All around the world, Leaders have been alerted to the danger that Trump presents. They are taking precautions and making plans.
Not exactly the 'winning' he hoped for.

I think the fact that Mark Carnegie has stood up to him and got Canadians buying Canadian and anything other than American, and near put Kentucky Bourbon out of business has stayed his hand… but apart from that he has the memory of a goldfish or at at least the concentration of a gnat and his backers/ allies/ a film on TV reminding him of something else … Off he goes…Stormin Norman … or at least that’s how he sees himself! We see a King Lear faffing around hitting this thatvand tge other without facts or a plan. It’s those beh8nd his Oz curtain who do all the work… nasties like Stephen
Miller et al!…

This is a total nightmare ..

This Nazi murderer must be stopped and the murderer of the young mother in Minneapolis must be executed - life imprisonment.

Frenchgalinspain Mon 12-Jan-26 15:22:10

55.000 American Citizens have arrived with Visas in Spain.

There are bilingual teachers for children and also skilled employable workers in a vast number of specialties including medicine.

Frenchgalinspain Mon 12-Jan-26 15:25:12

Well stated ..

Do note: Vance is worse as he is a total imbecile and imbeciles are highly dangerous ! They should send him and his wife to India !

NannyC1 Mon 12-Jan-26 15:33:16

25Frenchgalinspain whoa hang on, what's India done that they deserve that cretin Vance?

NannyC1 Mon 12-Jan-26 15:38:26

Maremia "A week ago, a very successful, well planned, covert operation removed Maduro".
No mention from you of sympathy for the families of the 100 people murdered by US troops during this!

Or maybe King Charles III has reminded him that he is head of state and there'll be no more rides in carriages around Windsor if he tries to annex Canada.

Yahmeus Mon 12-Jan-26 18:14:56

No, the majority of Americans do Not support Trump. Sad ashamed American here. We need to get him out, he is a deranged lunatic.

PopPopBear Mon 12-Jan-26 18:19:37

It is a very scary time here in the U.S. I have never voted for this want to be dictator that is currently in power. Like many other posters in this have mentioned, there is more behind him that are worse. Quite frankly, I have always believed he is too much of a moron to have actually made it on his own. There has been orchestration behind the scenes for decades, to set up the house of cards this idiot is gleefully toppling.

Also, do not believe everything you see. This country is severely divided, much closer to 50%. I have never believed the majority support this regime. The problem as I see it, is those that chose to not participate (vote) in the last election because they were bigoted enough to refuse to vote for a black woman.

Then there is the about 30% of the country that have drunk the Koolaid, as I like to say. Those that believed every vile word out of the orange emperor's gob smacker.

Now, which is too late by far, as far as I am concerned, people are starting to wake up. They are finally at the Find Out part of FAFO. So much damage has been done to our country, I doubt that we will ever completely recover. At least not in my lifetime.

There are Constitutional means of removing the orange stain from the presidency, but those take time and I am afraid of what those behind him will do. Elections are taking place rapidly and will continue throughout this year. The stranglehold of the MAGA party (I refuse to legitimize them by calling them Republicans) is loosening and will be ripped from the throat of the U.S. government. I just pray we can do it quickly enough to mitigate the damage being done to the world at large, and to prevent a world war.

The idiot in office is doing his best to screw that up as well. We have a toddler in office with no parents and a with two passive siblings giving him candy, patting him on the head, and telling him what a good boy he is, while he paints the walls with his feces.

You think you are sick of it? I have been living much closer with it, but it is even worse because I did my best with my vote, and my attempt to spread the word to help others wake up and vote to stop it for over a decade. I never in my wildest dreams, ever thought that the U.S. would end up this way. I even served my country in the military to prevent shit like this, yet here we are. My disappointment, my embarrassment, and my anger are off the charts.

My apologies, if I offended anyone here. I truly do not want to offend, but I also feel the need to express my emotions on this, and to let you know that not all U.S. Americans are heartless morons that do not care, and cannot see past the ends of their noses.

Wyllow3 Mon 12-Jan-26 18:19:57

Aveline

American oil companies have said they won't get involved as the oil infrastructure in Venezuela would've too expensive to update.

Now that is certainly interesting - Trump and the powers behind the throne are idiots not sorting it first, fgs!!!!!

That was the whole stated plan.

Wyllow3 Mon 12-Jan-26 18:23:33

Respect, PopPopBear.

We too want it to be the country it could be - a proud power in the world for good, using its wealth and power for the less well off both domestically and abroad.

And keeping a sharp eye out - dont want it over here.

Maremia Mon 12-Jan-26 18:23:39

I was commenting on the military success. Which it was.
I did not say I thought it was a 'good thing'.

Bazza Mon 12-Jan-26 18:28:19

Great post PopPopBear. I think very few in the uk will be offended by it, quite the reverse.

Maremia Mon 12-Jan-26 18:31:16

PopPopBear, sorry that you and yours are going through this nightmare just now.
Not offended by your comments.

25Frenchgalinspain whoa hang on, what's India done that they deserve that cretin Vance?

well said NannyCI!!! I read somewhere that Trump was proud to have passed 3 mental health tests. That just tells me that his handlers made him take 3 tests

Flick1 Mon 12-Jan-26 19:10:41

Well, everyone’s frothing about Trump, that’s for sure. Just as well we in the UK have nothing to worry us here.

MrsMatt Mon 12-Jan-26 19:35:05

The Tangerine Toddler is threatening to 'take' an oil tanker that is off the coast of Ireland. I can't remember which country it comes from but obviously one that he has decided is 'bad'. What with that and Putin making veiled threats to the UK if they send troops to Ukraine, it seems like major trouble is on the horizon, unfortunately. I hope not, but we can never tell with these dictators in charge.

Cagsy Mon 12-Jan-26 21:16:16

PopPopBear believe me we feel for you but are so anxious for the rest of the world too. I fear you may never get to mid term elections so I don’t know what you do but something has to stop this.

4allweknow Mon 12-Jan-26 22:30:02

Apparently DT has come out with that Greenland doesn't belong to Denmark just because they set foot on the place a couple of thousand years ago. Where does that leave USA?
