We already have the UN so why do we need this so called Board of Peace? I’ve just seen a photo with trump signing the declaration along with the Argentinian and Hungarian leaders! He knows how to pick them. I’m pleased that Yvette Cooper is having none of it.

Trump's "Board of Peace" to which he says Putin has accepted a membership invitation, seems to me like an overt effort on his part to establish executive power to usurp the UN.

Domestically Trump has nakedly targeted US government organisations, oversight systems and democratic norms to expert control, often framing such actions as dismantling a "corrupt`'` establishment or enforcing loyalty. e.g Dept of Justice and FBI, the Intelligence Community, Federal Agencies ( eg ICE) and the Civil Service, Electoral and Legal systems. Now he's doing it in plain sight on the world stage.

Accepting membership, in my view, is a poisoned chalice- and anyone who agrees to be a member runs a risk of becoming, over time, by coercion and/or threats of retaliation, a supplicant to Trump's world view and his aims.

Presumably the reason that Netanyahu and Putin aren’t at the launch is because they are named war criminals and would be arrested.

I thought President Zelenskys speech at Davos today was amazing, he said it how it is, he is a good leader that cares deeply about his people.

Could it be rephrased Bored of Peace. I think these warmongers just want more rather than less war, lots of juicy contracts selling arms and plenty of contracts regarding the rebuilding of war devastated areas, not to mention rich resources to plunder.
