Happy Womens Day! We've come so far, and many around the world have a long way still to travel, there are still matters to be tackled here as well:

but here's a celebration of how good it is to be a woman, and appreciate what women in the past have achieved 🙂

Happy Women's Day!! We have a lot to celebrate but thoughts for those women who don't have our freedoms.

Well done and thank you to the wonderful women who have trailblazed over the years for justice and equality, including your mum Wyllow

I wish the process wasn't so slow though and could spread across the world.

I’ve been to a woman’s peace ‘do’ (Quakers )and several had been to Greenham Common as ‘stayers’ (started 1981). I’m now debating whether to go to the women’s interfaith Iftar (end of Ramadan) very strong and intelligent women there in our group and their girls. It’s a matter of energy and concentration… I’ll miss the food if I don’t….

Happy Birthday to those born on this day.

We are on holiday in Italy.
My daughter-in-law and I have been given a posy of mimosa by the resort team 😊

1968, we've just moved into the run-down Victorian terrace we've bought via a council mortgage.
I go to the Electricity Board shop in the high street to buy a fridge. DH and I have a joint bank account in the branch of Lloyds which is practically next door.
But I have to get permission from husband to buy the fridge!!

So yes.... Happy International Women's Day

I celebrated by wearing a dress and feeling more feminine. DH asked what I was celebrating and did we need to go out for dinner as I was all dressed up
