A judge has halted construction on trumps 'most beautiful in the world' ballroom.

There need to be more rulings! Let's have the biggest, brightest most brilliant rulings ever! Millions of lovely rulings that he can take with him and stick on his walls in Mar a Lago... and leave the world alone...

😂

"Oh dear, how could that judge be so horrible? Just horrible.
It was all going to be so nice. Just because George W appointed him doesn't mean I can't unappoint him!!!!!"

Is he ever happy!

Is he ever happy!

Good question … it seems unlikely, unless he is winning at something and squashing the ‘plebs’ or anyone who dares contradict him! He just HATES LOSING, and as that seems to be all he is doing currently, he’s become an even more petulant and malicious toddler than he was before. He was happy at his Campaign rallies when the masses cheered him… now he gets more boos than cheers when out in public!

Trump is clearly a dictator. I understand he is also having an airport renamed after him. His two older sons, Eric and Donald Trump Junior, are also involved in a company making drones and other military equipment. All this because of the illegal war Trump started. He is a very transactional person so any help given to him must be repaid, just like America demanded for helping us in World War 2. Incidentally, they only came in after Pearl Harbour was bombed.

Wyllow3 Fri 03-Apr-26 15:25:13

Entirely accurate.

I actually believe that in the end, it's his own kind that will turn against him, as well as enough of the populace at large.

Otherthread, someone alluded to Bezos, who owns Amazon as being "a supporter".

Well, not quite so. Bezos is also as "transactional" as Trump.

When the tariffs went up, Bezos wanted to state the part of the price that was due to tariffs. Trump kicked up a storm, and on that, at that time, Bezos backed down. But ultimately, the business world, the very rich, that part of the Republican Party, wants as much certainty as to markets as is possible, and Trump is shredding that day on day. (as regards Amazon, its a pay your bl***dy due tax as far as I'm concerned, you can't turn the clock back).

The most significant factor of course, would be enough of the military begin to have serious doubts, but I fear that will be hard. They love their weaponry and unless considerable numbers of US soldiers are hit, it's a huge ask.

Definitely in agreement or in hell ..

Having visited the Tsars and Tsarinas various palaces in Russia with their gaudy gold leaf decor - it's obvious where his inspiration comes from (in more ways than one).

Chocolatelovinggran Fri 03-Apr-26 16:40:36

I, too, have visited these places, Stone of Destiny, and I agree with your thoughts.
I suspect that Mr Trump, who is a man who can hold a grudge, might be a little envious, also, of Vlad the Impaler.

It will only be a matter of time before he is either impeached or imprisoned or maybe the 25th Amendment will be bought into force. Surely he cannot be allowed to continue in the manner that he sees fit. He is rude about other leaders and is throwing his toys out of the pram. I tune into the news every morning, hoping that he is on his way. Awful man.

Macaydia Fri 03-Apr-26 17:44:26

Yes, that is correct. The media calls it news. It breeds hate. There are more important things to focus on.

Out of interest I looked up to see if any other presidents had altered the White House and the answer is yes, virtually every one has, both structurally and internally.
They made changes according to their own personal taste, so Trump it appears is just following a tradition.

Details are online.

They are allowed to redecorate. They can make changes IF they go through the process.

Trump did not, which is why a court has stopped him from moving forward. Rightfully so.

Yes, Basgetti, and Melania had the beautiful rose garden removed and replaced them with concrete.

(I was trying to reply to JenniferEccles. My brain lapsed on how to do that properly. )

Thank you for your explanation imaround

Wyllow3 Fri 03-Apr-26 18:34:09

Not only acting illegally but

Past presidents (and wives)

added something good to the White House in terms of notable additions

Trump and Melania have destroyed. Ripping a whole Wing down for a new build is not the same at all.

Surely, Jennifer you must accept that the people, via Congress, should have been consulted?

mulberry7 Fri 03-Apr-26 19:20:53

He's trying to build a ballroom in Kerry too, but permission is withheld at the moment on account of a rare snail environment needing to be preserved which the building would interfere with. I wonder what these ballrooms are really for.

imaround Fri 03-Apr-26 19:36:44

I can just imagine what would happen if Charles decided to tear down a portion of Buckingham Palace without talking to the people who it belongs to. Not to mention the conflict of interest because it is being funded by bribes privately.

Who does it belong to now? Trump? The billionaires that are funding it? We the people?

Snails are good for something then, not just munching my strawberries!

I quite agree Flakesdayout, if his poll ratings continue to plunge before the mid-terms even the republicans will see they have to act. He is indeed a foul man

There hasn’t been a remodelling on this scale for many decades, and previous presidents made alterations with the prior approval of Congress. A privately funded, unauthorised remodel like this is definitely a first.

I didn't think he'd survive the invasion of the Capitol, with the threat to democracy & the loss of life that ensued.

I really didn't expect him to be allowed to stand for a second term after his reckless & anti-american rants about the "falsified" election results led to that (& he was so slow calling them off - then pardoned the ringleaders as soon as he was re-elected

So I'm not holding my breath waiting for him to be stopped. If he attempts to extend his term past 4 years, or hand over to Jared to create a dynasty, that might see him locked up.

StTrinians Fri 03-Apr-26 22:27:31

It is Karma. He will feel the whole world is against him. Guess what...it is. This is the best news I have heard in ages, because it will really annoy him, just like he annoys rhe whole world. Excellent work. Promote that judge, if that's possible. smile

singingnutty Fri 03-Apr-26 23:59:15

Going off on a tangent, surely it would be totally wrong for King Charles to go on his visit to the USA?
