Just seen in the news that the Met re deploying 4,000 extra police officers in London tomorrow, including armoured vehicles on standby.
If they are that concerned why havenāt they taken action to stop these marches or made them into standing rallyās in contained areas?
Our beautiful capital city once more rendered a no go zone.
Added into the mix itās also the F A Cup final at Wembley Stadium.
All in the week when London has been named the number one city in the world for culture š¤¦āāļø
He has been found guilty of passport fraud.
Both marches are in favour of people being able to live with pride in their homelands.
Apparently, TR was calling for some kind of civil war against the "establishment". OK! So maybe I'm being dense, but that doesn't sound very united to me. It doesn't sound like the kind of action of somebody who's proud of his homeland either, if he wants to pull it down.
Yaxley Lennon described Spain his main residence during recent legal proceedings.
Up to him whether or not that was untrue.
Does a Patriot shout out 'USA USA USA to get the crowd to cheer Trump?
Trump, who has been disrespectful to our country?
Not any sort of Patriot I would follow.
For someone who doesnāt want to follow Tommy Robinson you know an awful lot about him š¤£
No one is forcing you to follow him.
Itās your choice.
Just like itās the choice of 1000ās who love to follow him.
Thereās nothing you can do about it.
Kandinsky, have you never heard of Sun Tzu's The Art of War: "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." Of course people who oppose him want to know exactly what he is doing.
Youāre preparing for war?
Crikey.
Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos was at the Nakba Day demonstration in London. The 88-year-old has attended almost every demonstration in the last two yearās protesting Israelās genocide in Gaza.
Stephen stands and sits with family and members of his group the āHolocaust Survivors & Descendants Against the Genocide in Gazaā.
He told Amnesty International UK:
"Today, we commemorate not only the 1948 violent displacement and dispossession of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian Arabs during the creation of the State of Israel. But the unlawful occupation of Palestinian land and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.ā
āJustice for the Palestinians must be demanded and fought for by peoples of the world to force their own governments to act to end Israel's genocide, occupation and apartheid.ā
āThat is why these marches have been attacked so much ā it is the threat we pose to injustice. And the symbol of solidarity and hope we represent.ā
Why is the ambition of Hamas to ā kill all Jewsā ignored ? It was included by Hamas when stood for election, they won

Oh dear. The phrase know your enemy comes from that originally. The principle holds true in politics and in everyday life, itās not just used in the context of war.

Iām all for anyone marching to show their pride in being British. Well done them š
Really?? Even knowing the person who organised it?
I am surprised!

When thereās a person who openly flaunts the law, as Yaxley-Lennon does and doesnāt openly condemn violence, then itās best for anyone to know as much as they can about them. I neither support him or Farage, but Iāve made it my business to know their actions and try and understand their thought process.
They are two very divisive people who caused countless āshenanigansā country wide.
Have you never heard ākeep your friends close, keep your enemies closer?ā
I know quite a bit about Yaxley-Lennon too. He wants to cause chaos and division in our country so it's the wise amongst who keep an eye on him.

Both marches are in favour of people being able to live with pride in their homelands.
Why would anybody need to march to demonstrate this?
Quietly live your life in a decent manner and be proud of your homeland.
Why would you need to march with a cross and follow a criminal like SYL?

The big HUGE difference is that one group was marking a date when 750,000 Palenstinians lost their right to live within their own country, and the other group would be happy if everyone with a brown or black face or different faith or aspect was deported from this country.

Good post Samwan. Thanks.

Itās a disgusting thought process and I cannot imagine why anyone would vote in a party based on that premise.
Do you know think, as a terrorist organisation, Hamas did not āarrangeā how most people voted?
Oh I know lots more about the convicted criminal Stephen Yaxley Lennon.
And because of that, I have no intention of joining one of his marches.
Such a pity you don't believe in Facebook, Kandinsky, otherwise you would be able to watch Yaxley Lennon's Battle of Britain speech yesterday.
Incidentally, I like to think you are all decent people here on Gransnet.
I donāt understand why anyone would support Yaxley-Lennon, heās known to associate with, and at times join in with, people who call for violence.
Thereās absolutely nothing wrong with living in your country and wanting to preserve your countryās tradition and culture, or being proud of the achievements of your country.
With this pride though comes a responsibility to make our country a better place for all its citizens and residents, not simply the chosen ones.
Weāre a decent and educated bunch on here, so please
1) donāt let us fall out arguing over people like YL, Trump & Farage, itās exactly what these people want, divide and conquer, and 2) if there are any YL followers/supporters on here, can you explain why?
I can very easily explain why I donāt support the three aforementioned people:-
IMO, it doesnāt take half-truths and marches to attract supporters.
I donāt have any issues or problems living in an ethnically diverse community, in fact I welcome it.
I donāt have issues with people claiming Asylum here, if they donāt meet the criteria they need to be returned.
I have no issue with migration, nor with a points based system which looks to recruit people and their families with the skills and knowledge we as a country require.
I donāt care what colour someoneās skin is, what the faith is, how they speak, how they look.
Itās actions and deeds and keeping our laws which counts, at least to me.
Some of the kindest and most decent people Iāve met are not indigenous English folk. I also know great white British born and bred people.
Thereās good and bad across all races/faiths/nationalities/colour.
To discriminate against any one person, any one group of people, is simply wrong, it doesnāt match my values, beliefs or moral compass, therefore can support or follow any person or group who believes this to be the right way to act.
Good post @ 14.50, samwam.
Great post * Cossy*

I am the daughter of a WW2 fighter pilot and granddaughter of somebody who was awarded a CBE for his role in D Day (and extremely proud of it). Both my father and grandfather would be apoplectic if they were alive to hear Twerp Robinson's ranting about a Battle of Britain.
