Great news, this entitled eejit has been found and arrested 9 years after he pushed a pedestrian under a bus.

“The 44-year-old has been detained nine years after a jogger allegedly shoved a woman into the path of an oncoming bus on Putney Bridge in west London on May 4, 2017.

CCTV footage of the incident appeared to show the runner, described as a white man in his 30s with brown eyes and short, brown hair, pushing the 33-year-old into the path of the Number 430 bus.

Oliver Salbris, the bus driver, managed to swerve and miss the woman’s head by inches, while the jogger ran on”.

I think he’s going to be in a lot of trouble, he deserves everything that coming to him.

A man like that jogs every day with his dog. One day I was in his way on a narrow path and he shouted at me to move.

In light of recent events I think everyone should read this thread all the way through. This is what trial by media looks like.

This man has now taken his own life, having been condemned with absolutely no evidence and his sisters are adamant that he was innocent. I think it's heartbreaking to think that could be true and how he suffered not only from the Police investigation but from reading online comments.

Back in June his name wasn't known to anyone posting here so people were accusing an unknown person of committing a crime with absolutely no evidence or knowledge of what actually happened.

A salutary lesson I think for people to be more careful in what they post, not to jump to conclusions and never to act as judge and jury unless in court.

Quote from his sister:
"My brother woke up to a large handful of police officers wearing armed vests and with a film crew on the doorstep from the media."
While in police custody over the Putney Bridge incident, Brandram was also arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and Class B drugs.
The sisters said his mental health had been "deteriorating" following the arrest.
"His name was leaked on social media channels within a couple of days. And that's when the vitriol started online. Thanks to the leak," they said.
"He was reading everything that was online. Because he was still guilty online."

Think that there are plans to make doxxing illegal.

It’s a real shame if it turns out it wasn’t him.
I thought it was cut & dry that they had their man.
Why would his partner tell the police it was him?
If it’s not him, sounds like the true pusher will never be caught.

What is doxxing?

I'd like to know where he was living in 2017 when it happened. If he lived in Chiswick then he would have taken a morning jog over Chiswick Bridge or Kew Bridge. He would never have jogged all the way through busy Hammersmith Broadway and down to Putney Bridge. I know the area and it's miles.

Where did you hear his partner told the Police it was him? The pusher had brown eyes and this man had blue eyes so that seems unlikely.

Fallingstar Sat 19-Sept-26 12:09:19

If the real pusher is out there he now has the suicide of this man on his conscience as well as his earlier crime.
Cannot imagine that the police would make serious charges against a man on the hearsay of an ex partner etc. I think most police officers know that ex partners can attempt to frame their ex in a fit of pique. Surely there was more than this.

Women are perfectly entitled to talk about a crime against women.
This man has incidents of other criminal behaviour, he sounds very troubled.

Galaxy Sat 19-Sept-26 12:33:53

Alleged crime obviously. But the point still stands, people are perfectly entitled to talk about a cctv clip which I assume was released by the authorities.

I didn’t know about the other incidents. As I said I imagined the police must have had enough evidence to make charges. One would hope.
And of course women are entitled to fork out but having watched many true crime documentaries you would be surprised how many women scorned come forwards to try and frame their ex. But every claim made by an ex has to be investigated thoroughly of course.

*entitked to speak out not fork out 🙄

Well that was libellous for a start.
1 he was never charged
2 he did not match the description of the attacker( different er colour, tattoo on his arm, wasted calf muscles from injury while serving)
3 he was nowhere near Putney Bridge at the time
The fact that the Met did not pursue the investigation suggests to me anyway that they had very little to go on
However, mud sticks and now this man - decorated for Service bravery, but clearly a troubled soul - has decided he can take no more.
Proud of yourself?

Another thread that makes me think GN is no longer for me…

MissAdventure

There are cases of people pushing strangers onto train tracks, as well as sone time ago, the young man who threw a little boy over the top of the safety rails at a museum or gallery.
He had apparently told people for some time that he had the urge to do it.
The human brain, eh?
It's a deep, potentially murky thing.

This is entirely irrelevant, unsubstantiated and implies guilt by association .
There is no connection between these cases .
Whataboutery at best,
At worst Slander/libel st least- malicious too.

Kandinsky Sat 19-Sept-26 12:59:43

People should never be named until they have been proven guilty ‘beyond all reasonable doubt’ in a court of law.

Galaxy Sat 19-Sept-26 13:00:56

If we are going to pick people apart then I would point out that attributing suicide to one reason is advised against and considered inappropriate.

Maremia Sat 19-Sept-26 13:08:37

MT62, it's what has happened to some RNLI volunteers.
It means identifying and publishing personal information, sometimes addresses, on the internet for malicious intent.

His sisters said that :
"Their brother lived in Notting Hill, had no connection with Putney and they had evidence that he had sent an email from his Bond Street office at around the time of the attack"

"He willingly provided a DNA sample to the Met to speed up the inquiry but never received results, despite pleading with police to speed them up"
BBC

Chestnut's post sums it all up.
Trial by media.
And now he is dead, so tragic.

The Met Police, too, have a lot to answer for yet again.

Truly shocking. He was tried and sentenced by the media.

Galaxy Sat 19-Sept-26 13:14:46

So we aren't allowed to make accusations but posters are now blaming the met police for someone's death with no evidence as yet. Presumably that too is trial by media.

Oreo Sat 19-Sept-26 13:23:34

Presumably the Met arrested several men while they looked into them. That often happens.

The press were aldo in attendance when the police went to arrest him.
"Describing Brandram's "hostile" arrest in June, his sister said: "My brother woke up to a large handful of police officers wearing armed vests and with a film crew on the doorstep from the media."
"His name was leaked on social media channels within a couple of days. And that's when the vitriol started online. Thanks to the leak,"

How did the press know? Who leaked the information?
Saying the Met have a lot to answer for is not trial by media.
They do have a lot of questions to answer in this case, which is why the Met has referred itself to the Police Watchdog.

Galaxy Sat 19-Sept-26 13:35:59

No idea and neither do you.
How do you know they have a lot to answer for? They may well have, or not, as yet we dont know.
If we are castigating posters for every word then I am going to point out some of the difficulties in what the accusers are saying particular in relation to discussion of suicide.
