Police here in Norwich are preparing for protests outside Norwich Crown Court tomorrow. 7 Afghans are on trial for 40 offences including 33 rapes or conspiracy to rape.

5 of them came on small boats and the other 2 concealed in vehicles. We just do not need them in our country so it’s no surprise people are angry.

It’s also scary that it’s now going on over here as previously it was mainly places like Bradford, Rotherham, Oxford, Birmingham etc.

As a laid back, live & live, liberal with a small 'l' minded person all of my life I have also maybe been a bit thick in thinking my easy going philosophy is shared by all & sundry.

It very, very clearly isn't.

The more I hear about the systemic failure to protect those vilely abused children the more rage & disbelief & naively stupid I feel.

Even yesterday, Sammy Woodhouse a rape gang survivor, so brave in speaking out about her utterly traumatic abuse, was once again tried to be silenced by the editor of Good Morning Britain as he told her - not requested - straightforwardly told her not to mention the ethnicity of the rapists who abused her so horrifically. She refused to be silenced.

Everyone should read the harrowing testimonies of Ms Woodhouse and her fellow abuse survivors. It's sickening, stomach churning reading that seems almost to be an alternate reality when NO! it was their actual reality day in day out with no-one listening, no protection offered, it's a national shame.

I saw that interview, she is one hell of a brave women.
