Bin face's manifesto.
(130 Posts)immediately crashing
His full manifesto reads as follows:
I will boost the region’s economy, prestige and fame.
I will cut your taxes, and raise everyone else’s.
Bus fares to be capped at £1.99, and 99 Flake ice-creams to cost no more than 99p.
I promise to spend more time in Clacton-on-Sea than in Washington DC, and to champion the area.
MPs who resign mid-parliament to be barred from the resulting by-election.
MPs who change party mid-parliament to be forced to face a by-election.
I pledge to build at least one affordable house.
Arcade grabber games to be made fairer so players actually have a chance to win.
Oil and gas companies to pay for solar panels for everyone. (From Jack, aged 10)
Regeneration of Walton Pier so it is just as great as Clacton Pier.
A windfall tax on cosy crime novels written (or 'written') by celebrities.
Potholes to be filled, using copies of the 2024 Labour Party Manifesto.
Parliament to be moved to my new Bin HQ, in Weeley, while the Palace of Westminster is restored.
People who drive past Clacton station with annoyingly loud exhausts to lose their licence.
I will not accept £5million gifts from crypto billionaires (on Earth).
A referendum on whether Pluto should regain its planet status.
The hand-dryer in the gents’ toilet at the Great Himalayas restaurant, Southport to be moved to a more sensible position.
Wayne Rooney to be new expert summariser for the BBC at Eurovision.
Count Binface to represent the UK at Eurovision 2027, with Clacton hosting Eurovision 2028.
I stand by my past manifestos: Ceefax, speakerphones, nationalising Adele, renaming HS2 ‘FFS!’, the hand-dryer at the Crown and Treaty, I’ve got it covered.

Sorry don't know how that ended up on the wrong thread. Don't know how to get rid of it.
Just report yourself to the mods and ask them to remove it. They might even pop it on the right thread if they’ve feeling kind…
Thanks. I have asked now.
Actually I think it was quite fitting, that post. Appearances can be deceptive. I would never vote for a clown, brainy or not. I would find it insulting and demeaning as regards the electoral system but , hey, we all have different ideas. Farage is an unknown quantity ,he could be dreadful, he could be good but I don’t think he is making fun of the electorate.
Farage has been around for years and is quite a well known quantity to many in the UK. He's already been MP for Clacton for 2 years so Clacton residents will already know if he's good or not I guess.
Farage was already the sitting MP and he is the one calling this by election stunt bringing himself and Count Binface to media attention home and abroad. If Farage loses or ends up with a vote margin less than he won in 2024 (highly likely) he is the one that ends up looking like a fool, his Parliamentary investigation will resume and if suspended as a punishment the whole charade begins again.
It is Farage that is making fun of himself, his electorate and the by election process and at huge £cost.
Farage is well known.
He let down the fishermen by not attending meetings to promote their cause, in Europe.
Took the payment and later, the pension package.
Has not held constituency meetings in Clacton, rarely attends parliament on their behalf.
His pattern is well known.
I agree with nanna8
Though i do like the Weely pun.
Hello, I haven't posted much, but visit every day for a read. But as a resident of Clacton, I had to show my face here. I hate that Clacton has become a joke, but I also hate the way people on local online groups are fighting. We used to be a happy, friendly town. No one knew or asked about your politics. I think Farage has instigated that. There are a lot of older people who moved here from London, so Farage's cry of "stop the boats" fired them up. They don't have a clue about his other policies, which is scary. He is loved by older women, and has his picture taken with them at every opportunity. But he is sexist. For example: In 2014, Farage stated that women who take career breaks to have children are "worth far less to the employer" upon their return and argued that women must choose between intensive careers in finance or family life. And: Nigel Farage has faced repeated criticism and media scrutiny regarding sexist and misogynistic remarks made by himself and candidates within his party, though he generally dismisses such controversies as "lads' banter" or ordinary pub culture. Also his views on the NHS are scary. I won't bore you with any more, just let you know, that even though I take politics seriously. I will be voting Bin Face in the hopes that he can keep Farage out of our town! Wish us luck ✌🏻
Interesting to hear from you, Suzy.
I don't think he's done much for Clacton.
Thanks for your post Suzysues and how Farage as an MP and as a result of his by election stunt has led to Clacton resident infighting and a change to your previously happy town. Clacton and its residents are definitely not the joke in this by-election scenario - rest assured.
I wish you luck in your voting for Count Binface and your hopes to keep Farage out of Clacton 😊
Good to hear from you Suzy. It’s always a puzzle why women don’t oppose his misogyny
For MissAdventure - thx for sharing the Manifesto - great stuff.
re "having a serious one" - er, NOOOOOO, he doesn't actually NEED one, as he won't be running the country unless that nice new Mr Burnham gets hacked off very quickly?).
As many have said, ANYONE but the pompous, me-first, Chump-loving, anyones for a bung Farrago! Or, if there IS a Reform supporter still out there somewhere -- despite all the evidence (did Kent County Council collaps yet?) - did that mysterious 5 million actually buy Farrago a new front door lock, but that leaves the extra bung, from his crooked friend's mum, to get explained??
I think this Bin Fce nonsense is really corny and childish. Naff and not very funny. Silly school boy humour.
He needs to get a life.
Jon Harvey does have a life. He’s an Oxford educated (in Classics) writer and performer. This is just something he does at some high profile elections. He’s entitled to poke fun at the man who started this whole silly charade.
My, sour grapes. IMO.
thank you Suzy
I'm so sorry he has done this to your town.
My comment addressed to tho the post above Graphite.
Sometimes a situation is so bizarre, so disturbing, so divisive, caused by Farage and no one else, that only good old Brit Private Eye style humour/Spitting Image humour will do.
Not boring at all, Suzysues. It’s good to hear from someone who lives in Clacton and has first hand experience of what it’s like having Farage as their MP.
I don’t know the area very well but know enough to understand that the voting is driven by those who are opposed to migration especially those who moved out from London. And yet they are incomers themselves, aren’t they, irrespective of colour?
From what I have seen from official statistics, and with my own eyes when I visit friends who live in the area, the population is predominantly white English, about 95% I believe, and older than the average population in other places in the UK.
We know why Farage chose to parachute into Clacton rather than anywhere else as it was one of only two seats ever won by UKiP. (The other is now Labour).
Now we know that Farage received a £5 million financial inducement to stand and more and more of Reform’s murky finances are been exposed, it’s only a matter of time before he’s gone and that'll be the end of Reform, which is fast collapsing under the weight of more and more revelations about its murky finances.
I saw that Giles Watling said he was willing to stand again. What was he like as a constituency MP?
Lets hope you get someone better next time rather than someone who thinks that buying a house in Frinton in his girlfriend's name is all that's required.
Thank you, Suzy, it's good to hear the view from this constituency. I feel that you have been poorly served by your MP, and hope that you have better luck after next week, either with a new appointee, or a chastened revisit by the previous incombent who puts his parliamentary duties at the forefront of his activities.
If course, Mr Farage did stand in East Kent a few years ago, but was rejected, thank goodness. We need someone to work for us in areas such as mine.

I hope he wins. Don't trash him. I would not like him to turn out to be a has bin, even if some of his manifesto is rubbish.
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who is Bin face?
Count Binface on wikipedia provides good detail 😊
I think Farage is the butt of all the jokes, Suzy.
He does not deserve to be the MP for any constituency.
This should die down soon, and if he has the good grace to properly resign, you will get a genuine election.
Nothing there weirder than Farage's and at least local issues.
Sadly there are far more candidates, so his vote will be diluted to the effect that Farage will win
