Mainly from Morocco and Algeria.

The vast majority of posts are just opinion and often, in the case of Reform, deliberate rage-baiting.

Like Honest Bob and Permanently Angry Yusuf here.

No, Bob. No single person has been allowed into mainland Spain as Cueta is outside Schengen and Yusuf being interviewed in front of an empty beach as the vast majority of people had already gone back to Morocco.

I know we shouldn't let the plebs speak. And god forbid we hear different opinions. For those who need to control, X is a terrible thing.

Casdon Sat 01-Aug-26 21:21:53

I believe that there’s going to be a big Reform/Farage anti immigration campaign next week to try to boost his profile in the face of falling popularity, before the Clacton poll. You heard it here first - not on X. I’m calling my new channel C as I don’t want the Musk interference.
(Is there any way Binface can be classed as an immigrant given he is from planet Sigma 1X?)

I agree. Means we can see for ourselves what's going on rather than wait for an edited version.

Exactly.

I personally think Farage is finished.
Whether he wins in Clacton or not.

The arch controller owns and manipulates X, but hey ho. .

Most of those were young men- teenagers even. Maybe a social media induced flash mob for a bit of summer fun.

I got to thinking. How would someone, or an organisation, arrange for 40,000 or whatever the number was, mainly fit[they swam a distance], mainly young men, to all go at the same time.

The same way here in UK someone, or an organisation, can organise a mass demonstration in UK for whatever reason. To celebrate a football team; to protest to the govt. And plenty of young people will go along just for a day out and a laugh.

You could be right. This has fallen right into Reform hands and where better to do it than a constituency which is 95% white and with a much higher elderly population that other parts of the country? He's fooled them once although it doesn't matter if he fools them again with all the various agencies on his tail over undeclared and dirty money. Even the DT has turned against him. He's finished.

Ukrainian foreign officials and intelligence monitors reported that pro-Russian networks—including state-backed RT and clone outlets like Pravda—published over 1,500 reports and posts utilizing imagery from the Ceuta border chaos.

Why would they do that? It was orchestrated for sure but at whose request? I suspect these young men were just unwitting pawns in someone else's game.

Possibly that could be it, but ended up not so funny for several of them.

It was obviously well orchestrated for whatever reason.

Wyllow3 Sat 01-Aug-26 22:58:41

Yes it was. Very suspicious. Very convenient. I suspect the Spanish far right and international links.

I like the idea of Binface as immigrant but don't think it the best plot.

Binface et al need to use the 42% reduction and just lots of reminding about Farage's corruption.

Notice, btw - so far - not a peep from his once bessie friend Trump or even, as far as I am aware, Musk or Vance He's too dirty*

Wyllow3 Sat 01-Aug-26 23:01:53

The election will cost over £275.000.
To the very taxpayers of Frinton.

Farage/Reform has offered to pay.

Can you get much more corrupt than an MP standing down to force an unwanted by -election and funding it himself? Have they no idea how that comes across

Graphite Sat 01-Aug-26 23:15:18

The Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has said that it would be illegal for a political party to pay for an election else the independence and impartiality of the electoral process in compromised.

Individuals or groups can make voluntary payments to government but they cannot be ring-fenced to pay for specific costs or events.

The online instructions say you must provide:

Confirmation that the monies being donated are your own (or your business’s) to give and are not the proceeds of crime, money laundering or other illegal activity.

… which would present a bit of a problem for Reform.

MartavTaurus Sat 01-Aug-26 23:16:11

What I don't understand is, that if there's only a total of 15 thousand 20 - 30 year olds, male and female, from the Moroccan town in question, where did all the others come from? Who coordinated it on such a scale?

Wyllow3 Sat 01-Aug-26 23:41:33

Probably this man

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayor-President_of_Ceuta

With huge powers because if its unusual situation and is centre right party as opposed to the current Spanish PM.

nanna8 Sun 02-Aug-26 05:53:27

I am sick to death of hearing the words ‘far right’ It means nothing, just baiting people.

BlueBelle Sun 02-Aug-26 07:01:14

Nana8 Most of them have already been returned (according to today’s news) …. it was a days outing, an excitement, a thought of the possibility to get away from poverty, to find a job, a new home , to get somewhere in life, but it didn’t work and some were drowned in the exercise

I wonder what our young men would do if they had no prospects, no hand outs and no future, only continued poverty .

Maremia Sun 02-Aug-26 07:37:36

Which phrase would you prefer as an acceptable substitute for 'far right' nanna?
But only if you wish to comment.

Galaxy Sun 02-Aug-26 07:46:51

Yes and it is particularly dangerous that far right means nothing but thats what happens when it is used for anyone we don't agree with.

Tuliptree Sun 02-Aug-26 07:52:39

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck ……I’m pretty sure many of us on GN know exactly what far right means, it doesn’t mean nothing and there are plenty of people I disagree with that I wouldn’t call far right - you for one

Mamie Sun 02-Aug-26 07:57:10

Do you prefer extreme right? As we are talking about Spain, how would you describe the politics of Franco, for example?
If we talk about centre right and centre left, far or extreme seems to be reasonable as a description for left or right, but I agree it should be used with knowledge and accuracy of someone's declared particular views or actions.

Casdon Sun 02-Aug-26 07:57:18

Far right does means something in the European political landscape, it is accurate to describe the Italian government as a far right one, for example, and it’s a nonsense to pretend that as a political movement it doesn’t exist - the term just needs to be used in the right context.

Galaxy Sun 02-Aug-26 07:59:32

But it is too late, I heard it just last week ( not someone I knew) saying if that makes me far right so be it.
Honestly many people just don't care anymore. And I don't blame them.

Galaxy Sun 02-Aug-26 08:00:31

No I am not pretending it doesn't exist, I think it is incredibly dangerous that that is what has happened.

nanna8 Sun 02-Aug-26 09:14:54

The term far right should only be used when the people are really that way inclined. I’m talking people who go round giving Nazi salutes and inciting hatred and violence towards Jews, Muslims, Christians and other people they don’t agree with. Now it is just used by people , mostly on the left, to describe those they just don’t agree with. It has been diluted so now it is just annoying and doesn’t point to the real danger . Probably I will get labelled as far right for saying this which would just prove my point. Maybe think about it.
