The king has put it writing

King Charles has issued a letter stating that H&M are not working Royals and as such should be treated as normal citizens of they attend anything. Also their HRH titles can Still NOT be used.
Laying down the ground rules.
Harry keeps on about their security but surely they had some in the USA which they had to pay for so why is it different in the UK.

Why were they surprised? They are not very supportive to the Royal Family so why should they expect to be welcomed back as working royals. It will take a lot of effort and respect for the to get anywhere near being accepted or trusted in future. If it was any other normal family they would have been No Contact because of what they have done. Its a shame for the children of course but they will still be allowed to meet any relatives that want to take the risk.

As has been stated many times, the only reason H&M are back here is because the American Dream has turned into a bit of a Nightmare, the ‘Freedom Flight’ no more.

Not much in the way of lucrative projects anymore, Meg’s many ventures have all gone belly up, they don’t get invited to the A list events anymore, unless they gate crash them….

Plus Charles’ ill health must have really put the wind up Harry.
He probably visualised his father living well into his 90’s, same as his parents, but his cancer diagnosis has brought it home that may not be the case.

And if and when, (not yet, we hope), we only have King William and Queen Catherine, with maybe the dowager Queen Camilla still around, the close family members who have been slated by the Sussexes, in person and in print, it will be a little late to try and mend broken bridges.

So now they are back here, probably hoping to initiate a quasi royal court of their own, rather similar to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

And that didn’t work out very well, did it?

fancythat

^Perhaps they should consider home schooling Archie and Lilibet, if the journey to school is such an issue?^

Ah. That is quite likely what it will come to?
They will have a private tutor?
Is there a precedence for that? Not that there needs to be?

The King and Princess Anne were the first members of the royal family to go to school. Their mother was educated by governesses

The irony of ‘working royals’ gracing us with their favours.
A President who represents the people wouldn’t have these family hangers on issues.
The media whip up opinion based mainly on fantasy and feud.
Nasty stuff

Not only that, M0nica but the education of the gentry/royals was at the heart of the "or otherwise" clause in the 1944 Education Act - and prior to that the Elementary Education Act of 1870 where "efficient instruction in some other manner" was included.

Schools are a new thing to royals.

NotSpaghetti Three generations of royal school children is hardly 'new' and the late Queen and her sister were the only ones in their generation not to go to school

Excuse me, but have you not heard of the Trump family: sons, daughters, sons and daughters -in law working for the government?

All paid huge salaries too, whereas the working Royals just receive expenses.

If there was no demand by charities, other organisations and the public then other members of the Royal Family would not be needed to work.

The Monarch, of course, has the many other duties required of a Head of State too.

Does Trump really represent the people?

Sorry M0nica - I think 3 generations is pretty new.

I did think I was agreeing with you though.

Not just their family but their friends and business cronies, raking in the money selling their power with the President. How many $s billion has Trump himself earned? Not to mention all the contracts made Jared Kuchner. He was the one in cahoots with the head of international football to privatise that World Cup as well.

I have yet to hear that any member of the royal family and surrounding courtiers on cashing in on the advantages their position might give them Not even to the tune of $1 million, not to mention making $20 billion.

Glad Charles wrote that letter. Megan and Harry are shameless.
