H&M Again- Change Of Schools.

So H&M have changed the childrens school, after only a few days there.

Suddenly, the school run has become a huge security risk.

Did they not give any thought to this before enrolling them there? Practice runs at either end of the day, to assess the risks? 🤷‍♀️

Hardly the best start for two little children, moving continents, homes and schools in a matter of days.

Yet another reason for the ‘security’ issue to raise its head.

The manipulations are pretty obvious.

Really?

Hadnt known that.

They are in trouble then.
If they cant convince younger people about the way they live, then they wont be selling much of anything.

GG13 I have never directed vitriol towards this family and can you direct me to any posts where I have?

Boz Tue 15-Sept-26 10:51:58

I look at them and don't see a nice little family - just disruptive parents and little pawns.
There is obviously a Media hunt for them. The price of first photos will be high and I just don't see how they can avoid the inevitable in this small Country.

My daughters loved Meghan when she first appeared in the RF like lots of young people.
They defended her every move and believed every word she spoke on the Oprah interview.
They see through her (and him) now and laugh at how fooled they were.
I through she was fake from the beginning and that he was dim to be so taken in by her.
Now I think they are much worse.

"Prince Harry is fifth inline to the throne and his children are sixth and seventh, they can never be just ordinary citizens"

What a pity Harry cannot simply abdicate his position in the line of succession. It would solve a lot of problems for him and also be a bonus if others could do so as well, Grannygravy13.

The other parents of the first school must be relieved, and most especially the Head Teacher and staff, MartavTaurus.

greyfur16 Tue 15-Sept-26 11:21:41

Agree, Boz. If they hadn't drawn such attention to themselves they could have had some privacy...oh the irony. A photo of either or both children, preferably being less than angelic will be worth a fortune.

We very rarely see William's family, I suppose they must just go about their business to the best of their ability.

Poor children. A new country, a new home, a new school and now this. Very poor parenting.

Yes, it has all happened very rapidly.
They must be missing their Granny too, as I am sure she's missing them. I think she was a constant in their lives.

Who cares?

Why is it any of our business?

Because I pay tax and we may end up paying for security.

Because, Heaven forbid that anything should ever happen to William and family, there is a remote possibility he could one day be our Head of State and his wife Queen Consort.

How does the Wales family manage the school run below the radar?
Fuss free.
I thought both parents drove their children to school..

How do they cope with the traffic each morning?

Quite.

They have moved to a rural setting with probably winding narrow roads with high hedges, exactly what did they expect, we don't see it as a problem but probably M does, would H find it strange? perhaps after living in California for a few years perhaps he does but exactly where they will live in the UK without security being a risk I have no idea as they have made it such a huge thing in their own heads , I think they need to speak to Zara &Mike Tindall whose children seem to be able to enjoy their freedom especially when they are at an event with their Parents but still get invited to Royal events and their parents have the best of both worlds. Apart from The Queen & Princess Anne I can't remember any other Royal having a security issues. Certainly not as Children.

Good grief! I hadn't thought that one through. Meghan as Queen Consort, can you imagine?
Should that day ever come, will the last person to leave please turn off the lights.

MarieElla Tue 15-Sept-26 12:33:01

We'd definitely become a Republic then!

Could some of us on GN be a little kinder about these people.
Why do some feel the need to be unpleasant. Let's leave them alone in peace to raise their two lovely children, hopefully safely.

Zara Timdall is 23rd inline, her children are 24th, 25th and 26th.

Not sure their circumstances are the same as Prince Harry’s family.

He cannot help his birthright, maybe he should abdicate his succession but then again why should he?

Totally agree 👏👏👏

No like any of us he cannot help his birthright but Harry has made it clear he has no interest in being a working Royal which is his absolute right, so why bother to retain the title and succession position? It's a little bit 'entitled' to want the perks of your birthright but none of the duties don't you think?

GrannyGravy13 Tue 15-Sept-26 12:54:00

Rosie51 I do not think it is entitled to want your children aged 7 & 5 to be safe in today’s world.

Even if he abdicated his succession he would still be the son of our King and vulnerable to outside forces.

The children would have been safer in the USA. The parents are not quite as loathed there as in this Country and USA Security allows guns.
Does UK Security have 'teeth'?

eazybee Tue 15-Sept-26 13:08:07

If H&M want their children to be safe they start by giving them a stable environment; if they consider them to be at risk they do not publicise their sudden, rushed return to England, their starting new schools, complaints about the school run, changing schools abruptly and publicising all of it direct to the press.
Private/ Public schools are well-versed in handling the offspring of celebrities and those from other royal or political families; they don't seek this publicity.
For whatever reason H&M are trying to make political capital out of this at the expense of their children.
Someone from the Education Authority needs to pay them a visit and discuss Child Care issues.

Of course it isn't, ask any parent and they'd answer they want their children to be safe. Such a shame so many aren't safe in this modern world.

Surely abdication of his succession would lessen the risks?

Anne was the daughter of the Queen and 4th in line of succession and yet she and her children received no armed protection except when she was on Royal duties. Why the difference? Peter Phillips was 5th in line of succession on his birth while Zara Tindall was 6th on her birth. Neither had routine armed protection.
The same went for the Queen's other children and grandchildren.

Romola Tue 15-Sept-26 13:13:01

Spare a thought for the nanny(s) of these children. What a job!

butterandjam Tue 15-Sept-26 13:21:51

There is nothing and nobody too private or too intimate in their lives , that they won't drag into their circus act to be paraded and exploited.

BlessedArt Tue 15-Sept-26 13:32:34

All you have to do is read the obsession people have with these two on Mumsnet and Gransnet and one can easily see why the move here was backwards.

Youngerthanspringtime Tue 15-Sept-26 13:34:54

Wouldn't it be better if everyone just left them alone to get on with their lives. Without all the publicity they receive they might just have a chance of a fairly ordinary life.
I can't think why they came back to England after all the things they complained about but I think they deserve a chance to just get on with their lives.
Frankly though I can't see their marriage surviving.

winterwhite Tue 15-Sept-26 13:43:40

They have brought it upon themselves by their written and spoken criticisms of the royal family, and Prince Harry's foolish remarks about his exploits in Afghanistan.

Even so I find it hard to believe that the security risk is as great as as all that. But if it is, as others have said, the children would be safer in the US.
