H&M Again- Change Of Schools.

(292 Posts)
Calendargirl Tue 15-Sept-26 07:01:33

So H&M have changed the childrens school, after only a few days there.

Suddenly, the school run has become a huge security risk.

Did they not give any thought to this before enrolling them there? Practice runs at either end of the day, to assess the risks? đŸ€·â€â™€ïž

Hardly the best start for two little children, moving continents, homes and schools in a matter of days.

Yet another reason for the ‘security’ issue to raise its head.

The manipulations are pretty obvious.

It's all performative to increase the level of emotional blackmail to get state funded security and they're using their children to get what they want, which is to have the level of security they're no longer entitled too.

Despicable behaviour.

I agree.

*Cossy*.
I chose my friends wisely.
Harry and Meghan would not qualify to be in my circle.
I thought you didn't care about them and yet, here you are defending the two clowns, in my opinion!

Oooh bit nasty, to both me and H&M.

I very much doubt I’d qualify either.

Actually I wasn’t sticking up for H&M, I was questioning your source of intel.

Agree, Boz. If they hadn't drawn such attention to themselves they could have had some privacy...oh the irony. A photo of either or both children, preferably being less than angelic will be worth a fortune.

We very rarely see William's family, I suppose they must just go about their business to the best of their ability.

We rarely see William’s family??

We see photos of them every birthday, every Christmas, 1st day at a new school, attending events like Wimbledon and Football matches, on the walk to Church in Sandringham, trooping of the colours, and other photos regularly released by Catherine, Princess of Wales.

Harry is still the Kings son, his children are the Kings grandchildren.

They should have protection.

Yes!

eazybee Tue 15-Sept-26 13:59:42

People do not seem to understand that all the information about the activities of H&M and their children comes directly from them and on to the lead stories of TV News and newspapers which is what they want.
If you want a good laugh, find Meghan's birthday video for H's birthday today. The news teams this morning were howling with laughter. Easy to see why Netflix cancelled their contract.
Seriously though, why put something so excruciating in the public domain?

BlessedArt Tue 15-Sept-26 14:14:16

I’m more curious as to what drives people to obsess over non-policy makers they don’t like than why someone posts a tribute to their spouse on their own social.

Rosie51 I do not think it is entitled to want your children aged 7 & 5 to be safe in today’s world.

Even if he abdicated his succession he would still be the son of our King and vulnerable to outside forces.

I agree.

She has an arrangement with the journalists. She takes photos herself at intervals of the children and releases them for the media, and the journalists hold back on photographing them and instead use her (very good) pictures.

Just watched the video.

‘Hang on every word you say’.

Don’t think Meg hangs on to every word of Harry’s somehow.

His arm, or his hand, yes.

Apparently the security team only tested the school run route during the summer holidays! 😼
Are they really that dim? đŸ€”

Wouldn't it be better if everyone just left them alone to get on with their lives. Without all the publicity they receive they might just have a chance of a fairly ordinary life.
I can't think why they came back to England after all the things they complained about but I think they deserve a chance to just get on with their lives.
Frankly though I can't see their marriage surviving.

The publicity they purposely create.

If they had any sense they would all just disappear from public view and get on with settling the kids into a new country, home and school.

But no. Instead Meghan posts in public online, films of their family walk, bike ride, boating, dog. WHY do that? Inviting attention; speculation; filmed locations being identified by locals.

2 days later; big drama. The kids are pulled out of new school on secons day. . Incredibly, the supremely security conscious parents and their security staff totally overlooked the security aspect of that school/ the school run before the start of term.

Factors which surely would have been of prime importance when selecting that school?

NotSpaghetti Tue 15-Sept-26 15:35:51

We're the security team employed in the UK or brought with them I wonder?

Most UK workers know that school holidays are very different traffic-wise to term time.

Skodadoda Tue 15-Sept-26 15:47:19

It seems that the security people did the assessment during the holidays when we all know traffic is dramatically reduced. This could have been because of the short notice given by H and M. Nevertheless, it’s hardly rocket science to work out what the traffic is normally like. Just ask a few parents!

They dont want to, or worse cant, read the room.

And also dont realise that the more they post, the worse things get.
In just about every way.

They themselves are PR disasters.
Yes, the media will lap it up. For now.
Until everything gets to a point of ridicule.

fancythat Tue 15-Sept-26 15:55:53

Personally, I have had it with going easy on them.
Or giving them the benefit of any doubt.

That's my point Cossy! They play the game. In return I suppose they have some sort of a normal life.

DamaskRose Tue 15-Sept-26 16:21:13

I was going to post that I hadn’t seen much vitriol on this thread. Before I read the whole thing! Yes, there are some sneering posts which I don’t understand. Why wouldn’t you just feel sorry for these children whose parents have made some stupendous mistakes and now seem intent on making more?! I don’t want my taxes to go towards security for H or M but two young children? With parents like they have? Yes, definitely. It is not their fault they are being dragged from pillar to post, surely we can agree on that.

winterwhite Tue 15-Sept-26 16:45:31

If it it’s true, as has been said on here, that the family is living rurally somewhere but the children had been enrolled at a school in Oxford and H&M are now complaining about the journey that’s plain silly. On the other hand busy winding country lanes wouldn’t provide much opportunity for heists.

MarieElla Tue 15-Sept-26 16:47:40

I think mose of us feel sorry for the children. It must be a strange, inconsistent experience for them.
Coming to England where their cousins live but not meeting up with them.
A cross Atlantic move and
2 new schools already!
And all down to their parents being inept abd selfish.

They have moved to a rural setting with probably winding narrow roads with high hedges, exactly what did they expect, we don't see it as a problem but probably M does, would H find it strange? perhaps after living in California for a few years perhaps he does but exactly where they will live in the UK without security being a risk I have no idea as they have made it such a huge thing in their own heads , I think they need to speak to Zara &Mike Tindall whose children seem to be able to enjoy their freedom especially when they are at an event with their Parents but still get invited to Royal events and their parents have the best of both worlds. Apart from The Queen & Princess Anne I can't remember any other Royal having a security issues. Certainly not as Children.

Zara Timdall is 23rd inline, her children are 24th, 25th and 26th.

Not sure their circumstances are the same as Prince Harry’s family.

He cannot help his birthright, maybe he should abdicate his succession but then again why should he?

Harry cannot abdicate unless he became Monarch as I explained in my post of Tue 15-Sept-26 11:18:38. He could renounce his place if he wanted to (for all we know perhaps he does) but it would require an Act of Parliament and the agreement of any relevant Commonwealth countries too.
Archie and Lilibet would then move up one place.

Cossy Tue 15-Sept-26 17:13:59

How does the Wales family manage the school run below the radar?
Fuss free.
I thought both parents drove their children to school..

How do they cope with the traffic each morning?

They don’t manage, they do get photographed and should imagine that they have security in front and behind them and leave very early.

JenniRen Tue 15-Sept-26 17:16:11

I think children can be remarkably adaptable at their ages.
If they were young teens, the disruption could have caused Harry and Meghan a whole lot of problems.

Can you imagine?

Cossy Tue 15-Sept-26 17:21:16

Why do you care?

It’s got nothing to do with any of us, some of you are almost accusing H&M of child abuse.

It doesn’t matter what they do or say, it’s their business. Don’t like M’s Instagram? That’s fine, don’t look at it.

Think their rubbish parents, fine that’s your opinion.

As for the entire tax thing and security, it’s utterly ridiculous to comment. I don’t like taxes being used on all kinds of things, including subsidising the Houses of Parliaments Bars and Restaurants.

Bad luck to me!
