Has Trump Completely Lost It?

He says he's come to an agreement with Denmark to establish a military presence in Greenland, with a view to incorporating it into the US as the 51st state.

Denmark are silent.

Don't say he's making it up?

In answer to the question, yes!

There is a deal in place, but not ratified by either Greenland or Denmark, nor does it resemble Trump’s description 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Nothing ever resembles Trump’s description, in his head he is a Marvel super hero saving everyone from everything, because nobody else knows how to run their own countries.

That looks impressive Imaround but am not on FB, what are the crowds about??

Good to see a lot of the original supporters of MAGA turning away.

Now he's succeeded in annexing Greenland - whether Denmark is 'happy' about it or not - what's the megalomaniac's next target? The Orkneys? The Shetlands? Or Iceland perhaps?

He's running riot and roughshod over anyone and anywhere - exactly as Hitler did, sparking off the Second World War. It's not the Russians we need to be wary of......

MayBee70 Sat 19-Sept-26 16:15:33

He’s on the ropes. Which makes him even more unpredictable and dangerous. His own country has to stop him.

imaround Sat 19-Sept-26 16:35:34

He is trying to literally tear down the Kennedy Center because a judge told him he can't put his name on it. A large group of humans made a chain around it last night in protest.

He is not and will never be a JFK, not matter how badly he wants it.

David49 Sat 19-Sept-26 16:37:22

He's on the ropes and will loose his majority in the midterm elections but he's not down and out he will still be President. Just what Congress does is not clear there is an awful lot of untangling to be done in Ukraine, The Gulf and Gaza, we should not expect it all to be fixed in months, an emboldened Iran will be hard to deal with, so will Putin both wars could get worse.

Thanks for the update imaround. Good to see.

I'd be very surprised if Denmark has agreed to this. Trump is dangerous to the entire world. I don't understand why the citizens of the United States aren't doing something about his madness before it's too late. He's one of the worst human beings this planet has seen - a convicted rapist, a convicted felon, an unfaithful husband, and I'm convinced that all of his antics are to distract from the Epstein files. And on a personal note, he makes my skin crawl even thousands of miles away and through the medium of TV.

Thanks for the info.
No he isn’t JFK and even makes Dubya look good. I don’t think there has been a president as awful, and am someone who remembers Nixon.

I’ve been following the story 👏👏👏

David is correct, Trump will still be President for the next 2 years as the Dems have no plans to impeach him. And to be honest, it is the smart thing to do.

If Dems control both chambers, they can take back thier war powers and several other powers the current GOP has allowed Trump to run roughshod over. He becomes an even more useless idiot, but doesnt become a martyr to MAGA.

Now if they start investigating him for treason... that is a different ballgame.

petra Sat 19-Sept-26 17:28:10

Mark Rutter framed the deal with trump at Davos.
That’s good enough for me.

Trump, despite his many and obvious faults, is probably more manageable than Vance, who is a snake and marginally more intelligent. The best case would be for the Democrats to regain both Houses in November by a huge majority and render Trump et al toothless. Even Republicans are now, finally, turning against him

Musicgirl Sat 19-Sept-26 17:45:56

Maremia

We are so concerned about superior Artificial Intelligence destroying us, when it's actually a person with diminishing intelligence who is doing it. 😲 🫨

From the impression I get, there was very little intelligence to diminish in the first place. What is truly alarming is that he appears to be in the advanced stages of dementia. He is president of one of the two most powerful countries in the world and is in a position to blow up the world at the touch of a button. As it is, his antics have put the world into a very dangerous position and we are all feeling the fall-out of it. I never understood how the American voters could elect him once, never mind twice. Joe Biden was ineffectual but Donald Trump is a deranged madman, who is extremely dangerous because of it.

Plevey08 Sat 19-Sept-26 17:54:48

I agree with David.
Denmark are having the last laugh. As oldfrill's link shows...The deal doesn't differ from the 1951 agreement with Denmark, under which the USA can send as many troops as it wants to Greenland.
Trump is doing his usual blusterings, he's grasping at anything to improve the midterm elections. It is quite possible he could lose the House and the Senate.
Then what? He'll say it was fixed. However he will be much weaker. And then we can be hopeful.

Maremia Sat 19-Sept-26 18:58:32

A post on Facebook, yes, I know, claiming that this is a re-hash of a 1951 treaty.
So much winning.

Let's not idolize JFK he may well be the Democrats darling but he was far from perfect.

Iam64 Sun 20-Sept-26 09:40:26

Admiring some of the achievements, contribution to society of JFK and his wider family, does not mean idolizing them. Being far from perfect bares no resemblance to the dangerous man currently the Potus

Grandmabatty Sun 20-Sept-26 11:43:28

JFK's behaviour is actually irrelevant. The building is a memorial to a president who was assassinated and therefore nothing to do with a living president.
