Farage’s net favourability is now at -45 according to the latest opinion poll, which is identical to that of Starmer immediately before he resigned. Desperate times call for desperate measures from him I guess, but I doubt that this particular desperate measure will save his skin.

Farage consulting Trump's Border Czar is unsurprising as Farage is hardly an imaginative or original thinker. However, Trump has had to use executive orders to pursue his policies on immigration and, even if Farage got into government, he would struggle to get any of his draconian policies through the Commons or the Lords. Thankfully, our system of government is a bit more fit for purpose than the American one.

That figure’s not right. He is now at plus 24 if you look at the YouGov poll so NOT as low as Starmer. 69% do not regard him favourably. Idk where the Independent gets its figure from. Whatever he has fallen in the popularity stakes but not into minus figures which ED Davey and Polanski have.
