Trump blames Zelensky for war on Ukraine and says they need a new leader 🙄

Latest from the mouth of Trump. A shameless attack on Zelensky, saying he is a war monger responsible for the war on Ukraine and needs to go. Hot on the heels of a deal with Putin for Diesel.
This obviously smoke and mirrors to deflect attention away from the Iran war, hoping that voters in the US won’t blame Trump for spiralling fuel prices but will blame Zelensky.
In actual fact the diesel the US will get from Putin is negligible and won’t be more than a day’s supply, so is just window dressing to take the heat off him as a warmonger responsible for sending fuel prices spiralling.

Trump is a disgusting, deranged, dangerous idiot, whom, I would imagine, most country leaders mainly ignore.

I feel so sorry for all Ukrainians.

Shame on Putin and Trump.

Most of the world know which country needs a new President, and it isn't Ukraine.

LemonJam Sun 11-Oct-26 09:38:49

Trump has long held tension and resentment against Zelensky. This time Zelensky publicly criticising Trump for his decision to ease sanctions on Russian diesel ( Z criticism understandable) has triggered him yet again.

Trump hates public criticism, it's a personal injury to his fragile ego and his image of himself. He sees himself as superior and more powerful than Zelensky. Trump's habitual behavioural response is to belittle, hit out and injure and humiliate Zelensky in return. He tells Z to stop attacking Russia's oil refineries- to cower Z. He calls for Z to be replaced - to humiliate and belittle him.

All this, to make himself feel better with no care for the impact on Ukraine and its vulnerability against Russian aggression.

Shameless and shabby. That a US president behaves in this way is extraordinary. However, sadly the world has become accustomed to Trump's outbursts. Hopefully though- never immune to his despicable behaviours.

Trump is not in control of his behavioural triggers- enormously concerning. Yes it is the US that needs a new president.

His attitude towards Putin always gives me cause for concern and should give US voters cause for concern as well as the rest of us. And now that it has been revealed that Putin had a hand in the Brexit vote who is to say that he won’t equally have a hand in midterm elections in the US or had a hand in making Trump president. Certainly having a puppet like Trump serves him well.

I completely agree flowers

Hmm... What hold does Putin have over Trump? Yes he desperately needs to appease the voters with the mid-term elections. But there must be more to it than that.
We all recall Trump's initial statement of ending the Russia/Ukraine war within 24 hours of being elected President.
We know he changes his mind on a whim.
Really good to hear Zelenski speak up and condemn Trump for this recent diesel deal.
Also good to hear UK condemning it too. And AB is meeting up with Zelenski in a few days time. That is excellent to hear.

Trump's too stupid to realise that the more he attacks and ridicules Zelensky, the more admiration the world has for him and the people of Ukraine and the less the world has for Trump and sadly America.

You took the words off my keyboard, Maremia!

I think the fuel deal is likely connected to Putin offering to do all he can to help stop the Iranian war (widely reported in media). Trump is desperate to find a way out.

But, with all due respect, why on earth would anyone trust Putin!

The fuel deal is to sweeten the Neanderthals who voted for him.
The trouble is: you can’t educate spam 🤷‍♀️

Just when I thought Trump could not sink any lower he manages to do just that.
I remember the disgusting way he treated President Zelensky during their first meeting in the White House.
Trump, egged on by his mate Netanyahu, started all this current mess with fuel. Now he sees no way out of this and save face at the same time.
Trump and Putin aren't so different. Both are egotistical tyrants who started illegal wars on other countries, expecting a short conflict and looking like heroes. Trump will always be a closet supporter of Putin.

Fallingstar Sun 11-Oct-26 11:01:48

We are in very murky waters with Putin. There has been an uneasy alliance between Putin and the Iranian regime - Iran borders on Russia in the Caspian Sea region and gifted an oil rich part of the Caspian Sea to Russia several years ago in return for Russia’s nuclear expertise, so Putin could be acting on behalf of the regime in trying to get Trump to end the war.
But what else will he offer Trump in order to do this - interference in the midterms so that Trump doesn’t suffer terrible defeats which are widely predicted??

Fallingstar Sun 11-Oct-26 11:13:33

Of course is all conjecture could just be Trump blowing off steam which I sincerely hope, but Putin never does anything without expecting a return. And I imagine the Iranian regime will also be in debt to him, and perhaps the offer for Putin to use Iranian proxies to fight the west would be a tasty morsel.
Fairford??

IMO Trump is out of control and no longer democratic. His cronies are with him to make as much money as possible by any means. By taking Russian oil he is undermining the
Ukraine, NATO and all of Europe. Putin is just laughing and encouraging him. The American people are waiting for the mid-terms, which may never come. Even if they do what power will they have?

What a scary time to be living in.

Couldn’t Johnstone have put an end to that war but didn’t!
