Months ago, my police force explicitly stated that there was nothing to suggest that the murder of Ann Widdecombe was politically motivated or related to terrorism. Hmm.

Months ago, several posters on here were critical of the disbelief and suspicionbthat many of us expressed over that statement. Hmm.

I wish we had a lawyer to ask on GN, but I think that legally and factually, the police's initial assessment was completely wrong.

And today, Joshua Kerry is accused of trying to batter down Farage's front door while armed with a bottle of lighter fluid in 'preparation of terrorist acts.

Hmm.

You are absolutely correct. The police should probably have said nothing.

It seems Farage was also correct. However, why is this an act of “terrorism” rather than attempted murder or assume in Farage’s case and actual murder in the case of Ms Widdecombe? I completely accept that these acts are politically motivated.

Assault not assume. Sorry.

I agree MartavTaurus the police released a statement that too early before the full facts were known.
