Can you help please? I hear TV presenters all the time saying certain things are 'the biggest'. It sounds wrong to me and I thought it ought to be largest but not sure which is correct.

The first time I tried horseradish was in a posh restaurant, and it came down my nose. I like it now, but I know to take it in small portions.
Beetroot is good for you, so I have it in my salads.

Have you tried wasabi paste?

Not to my knowledge, but I have eaten all kinds of things in all kinds of countries. What is it?

I love wasabi - but it can be a bit lively! First discovered it in the USA. Prefer horseradish and after growing it in my garden in England, where it ran amok, I have decided that it is best bought from the supermarket. Much less hassle, too!

Green and Japanese and like ultra strong horseradish!

How on earth did a thread that started off discussing the difference between big and large move on to horseradish and wasabi? That is the beauty of GN. It's just like a real conversation, rambling from one topic to another with only tenuous connections!

It's called feminine logic, Anno me old cock!
At least that's what the other sex say!
Little do they know.
It went via a horrible pun from me on parsing sentences to root veggrin

Did anybody have this quoted at them in their childhood?

Good, better best
Never let it rest
Till your good is better
And your better best!
