A+ too. What a relief - I can continue to be a dyed-in-the-wool pedant!

Hehe I did the quiz again and purposely made loads of errors. This is what I got:

"WOW, fantastic job! From Oases to Criteria to Nuclei, you really know your Plurals! You only missed a couple and they are missed by 96% of people that take this quiz. Plurals are some of the most commonly misspelled words in the English language, but not for you!"

Clearly only A+ results will be recorded publicly.

Well it did say "fun quiz" ... smile

A+! Excellence at something at last grin

I deliberately answered all the questions wrongly, and this was what I got

"Uh oh! You were probably the rebel of your English class, weren’t you? Though you answered a few of these plurals correctly, you just didn’t get enough correct to get our coveted Plurality Excellence title – and frankly, that’s okay!"

I did not answer 'a few of these plurals correctly'. I answered all of them incorrectly! Misleading or what?

Plurality excellence! Amazing considering my appalling spelling abilities.

I did a domestic job in a residential outdoor activities centre for a couple of years, on top of my normal job. One week, the teachers accompanying that week's primary school group divided their children into different teams, each named after an animal, and they wrote the names of the teams and their members on the whiteboard. Every day when I went in, I just couldn't stop myself from slyly changing "deers" to "deer". I'm not sure if they ever noticed or not, but it had always changed back to deers by the next morning.

Excellence A+ for me too! We must be a very well educated lot!
