I am sorry some people think it's correct to call themself "Myself" when they should simply say "Me".

"Me, a name I call myself" (Julie Andrews in Sound of Music)

Not as bad as "like" every second word!

Yes, sorry SalsaQueen. I agree.

I HATE 'at the end of the day' too.

GagJo = think we agree upon a great number of grammatical aspects, much of which is like banging your head against the proverbial brick wall!

Yes, it's one of my pet hates too. I was surprised and had to clutch my pearls while watching "Topsy and Tim" with a DGC when Dad said "… from Tim and I"! How is that educational, I want to know, and on the BBC too!!

Even worse, on the bit of another BBC programme we saw while waiting for T&T, a girl was telling her pet dinosaur to "lay down"!!! shock

I shall now go and LIE down in a darkened room to recover, and perhaps then I may have the strength to send an angry email to the Beeb from DGC and ME. grin

I agree entirely.

Saying that, I hate "does my head in", "can't get my head around it", "at the end of the day" and many others.

One of my PET bugbears is along the lines of the Aitch not Haitch threads.

Mine is people who use the pronoun I, instead of me.

'This is James and I at the opera.' No! You wouldn't say, 'This is I at the opera.'

Does my head in.
