I've worked practically everyday since March, summer holiday cancelled, Christmas holiday flights cancelled, trying to keep up with demand for toilet rolls and pasta, someone actually thought electricity would be in short supply??????

So I binged on Vicar of Dibley the wholes series plus Christmas specials on iplayer which went very well with gin and tonic and pringles. grin gringringringrin

GrannyGravy13 no need to apologise. Times are tough and trying to keep a family business afloat must be really difficult in this mess. I hope your family are able to stay afloat and navigate their way into the new year with better times to come.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 27-Nov-20 11:19:43

I have just re-read my post, it appears very ranty and for that I apologise.

Bluebellwould it made me laugh when I received it. So I posted it here to hopefully give everyone a much needed giggle. I don’t think we’re at the stage of pouring wine on our cornflakes yet.

Speak for yourself! wink

Bluebellwould five AC, eight GC, running a business during a worldwide pandemic and ultimately responsible for people’s livelihoods.
Not being able to visit AC and family members abroad, navigating Christmas and Birthday gift buying distributing etc, all the time with a smile on your face so others are not worried about you and your underlying health problems and protecting yourself from Covid.

So when it comes to 6pm I shut out the world settle on the sofa with a glass of wine and Richard Osman’s House of Games feel free to judge!!!

It's quite possible to find something witty and enjoy, without endorsing the sentiment, Bluebellwould!
And come to think of it, I wonder what Bluebell would?

Bluebellwould Fri 27-Nov-20 10:38:55

Very funny, but makes me shudder to think how many of you drink and how you all seem to want/need it.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 27-Nov-20 10:37:47

Totally empathise with the OP ??

tiredoldwoman Fri 27-Nov-20 10:37:37

Made me laugh , great idea too !

rowanflower0 Fri 27-Nov-20 10:37:06

I have been in the habit of drinking one large glass of red with my evening meal, for years. I have been slowly gaining weight that a diet doesn't seem to shift. - 2 weeks ago decided to only have wine with meal at weekends - have steadily lost 2.7 kg since then. Will be sticking with this - though may blip over Christmas!

Not drinking any more than usual - one glass of wine with dinner, beer if it's curry. But I think I am looking forward to it more!
